I love listening to traditional Chinese music but, as a British woman interested in Folk and Jazz music as well as Baroque (I am a recorder player) this is really interesting to me. I was wondering whether the Hulusi could be used for different types of music and though the Chinese influence is undeniably there, this track also sounds more like something I might play.

thanks! there's no bass guitar. Steve plays Handsonic with tuned gongs' sounds which he sampled from his balinese gongs.

как и на всем остальном - зависит от уровня которого хочешь достичь. Звук извлечь на хулуси достаточно легко, по сравнению с кавалом например

The hulusi is a suprisingly loud instrument, you may notice he's holding it a bit away from the mic, frankly unless the place they're playing is huge, the mic is barely needed. Gorgeous instruments, I learned to play a little when I lived in China, I'm not even close to as good as *this* guy though.
