Back then, Dell actually had some pretty good computers. I bought a Dell Dimension 4600 and it lasted me for nearly 10 years. To replace it when I needed an upgrade, I got an XPS 9100 Studio. The second machine I still have and it still performs like the newer machines with a full upgrade. They also had some very good customer support at the time, but they have sadly outsourced it to a call center staffed by people who can barely speak English.

Then it hit me - these commercials were out before she was born! Thanks for the awesome flashbacks.. but for also making me feel old... LOL. (was 25 in 2000). I was working in the PC industry too at the time. I hated repairing name brand PC's due to propriety hardware. Dell, Gateway, HP were among the worst :(
