I loved this album when it came out, and I loved Devin's work on it. I gotta admit this is some crazy-ass take on this song. It almost has a freaky P-Funk or maybe early Chili Peppers vibe going on (maybe Oingo Boingo?) with all the percussionists and decidedly not rock-band instruments (standup bass?? WTF?). Vai has said that this album was a difficult time in his life, filled with influences that were uncomfortable, and it certainly shows in his playing and the disconnect in the performance.

Impresionante.
