@@lorenzmuller3542 "badly" is subjective. Mauna and I can hear them (and the cymbals) just fine. Perhaps you need a better audio system. Knowing Vai, this is exactly how he wanted this cut mixed.

I have to say, this is one of the most interesting songs I've ever heard, my ears instantly pricked up as soon as the song started. I have been sitting here trying to figure out the metre and harmonic modulations for a good few hours and it is bending my mind a little in the best possible way, then the incredible guitar phrasing and melody through the harmonic modulations come in and I get totally distracted and lose count. I love how you alternate between starting on a different beat at the start of a new bar, it keeps the track exciting and interesting throughout! Honestly a masterpiece to me, thanks so much for this!

I wish I had even a fraction of the phrasing Steve has. It's like the guitar is connected directly to his stream of consciousness. I still maintain to this day that "The Animal" is the single best piece of "guitar" i have ever heard. This song has that same thoughtful yet almost random feel to it.
