The pinnacle of mainstream pop music manifests itself as a luminous vertex where the sublime and the accessible converge. A bassline that is more than a sequence of notes: it is a delicate labyrinth of rhythm and melody, beautiful in its form, inexhaustible in its dynamism. Within it, the groove reaches an exquisite splendor, and each "feel" it emanates is a moment of fulfillment. Here, the slapping -ferocious in its execution, almost savage- rises as a declaration of virtuosity. Jonah’s voice, powerful and admirable, stands as an archetypal echo, so perfect and firm it seems carved in sonic marble. And what can be said of Steve Vai? To me, he is a demigod of the guitar, a craftsman whose music I have explored to the point of exhaustion, like one who loses themselves with delight in an infinite book. I love his style, his phrasing, that unmistakable sound that carries in each note the weight of the eternal. Listening to his solos is not merely a pleasure; it is a return. It is a thread that takes me back to those early days, when I was just beginning to discover music, and his solos were dreams woven in the air.

You were able to get that amazing enchanting Steve Vai guitar sound at the end of his solo. That’s only been on a few of his tracks and it’s super signature and awesome! Excellent work Jonah!

Why do you view music as some sort of competition? There are no masters, only students!

@@denafitzgerald2554 Correct. Most likely Vai and Morello admire (and have learnt from) each other

Vai’s solo is excellent , has it all , melodic, heavy , trippy , does blow away the competition , have not heard any other virtuoso create such composition within a pop song to boot ! Most players are great at the gymnastics , but lack melody , quite impressed with Vai !
