Met Steve At NAMM After He Played!! I Was With My Buddy, We Love Steve's Playing....He Says, "Oh S***, There's Steve Vai (As Steve Was Getting In A Car To Leave) I Would Have Loved To Meet Him" I (Being Bold and Buzzed) Replied "Let Me Try " I Approached And Expressed We Loved The Show, Would It Be Possible To Get A Photo? He Happily Obliged, Even Though He Was Leaving. He Walked Over To Where My Friend Was Standing , Shook Hands, Made Introductions And Took The Picture!!! When My Friend Looked...He Realized...The Picture DIDN'T Come Out And Expressed Quietly His Disappointment. Steve (Somehow) Heard Him! (From Quite A Distance) Turns Around And Yells Back "It DIDN'T Come Out???" Then Runs Back And Takes ANOTHER....Then Stuck Around To MAKE SURE IT DID!!! EXTREMELY GREAT COOL 😎 GUY!

About six months ago, I found my love with Neoclassical music (I am 12 years old) and when I first heard Jason Becker, I was amazed. I Had just played Steve Vai For the love of God for my schools talent show on Dec. 21, 2018. So I was thinking about doing Jason Becker mabel's fatal fable for this year's talent show at my school on 2019. A few days later, I watched Not Dead Yet, and when I found out that Jason Becker had A.L.S, I cried because Jason's dream was coming true and it just all of a sudden got thrown out the window. Once again, I am very amazed at Jason's work. I wish for the best.

I started playing guitar in 1986. At some point I picked up a cassette with him and Marty Friedman called Cacophony. It blew me away. But I was a kid and had too many other things going on and it didn't take long for me to stop playing. Now I'm 51 and I've been playing again for about a year and found Jason's story. I have never been so moved and determined to succeed after seeing someone so talented who loved music and the guitar so much have it taken away from him. It is my sole motivation for picking up the guitar and practicing every morning.

Yeah man that's what I'm saying! Growing up a teenager in 2005-2010 Jason Becker has been essential to my concepts of playing guitar and finding my own happiness out of life. It really does not matter what surrounds you, nearly as much as it matters who you are as a person. You have potential to do boundless things with the start of an idea! And being able to have those moments recorded in history where Jason was playing guitar himself, is incredible to see what he knows how to do. As I mentioned, being a teenager and being able to relate to him through those videos having been the same age... really opens your mind. So with that I say my Thank You's as well! many many times over. Thank You, Jason Becker :D
