There is no better cricketer to be the Brand Ambassador of the game than Steve Waugh , Exceptional dependable Lower order Batsman and bowler , Very Competitive player , True gentle man off the field , Superb Captain who dominated the world with his all time best team , a Philanthropist . I have my high Regards for you ,Mate I remember my father would say , one of the reason Aus won 1999 WC because of the blessings bestowed on him for his philanthropic work across the world thru Steve Waugh Foundation , Amazing exhibition, wish to get the book soon and make it someday at Sydney to visit Love from an Indian 🇮🇳 working from 🇺🇸

Even Indians will not do this type of amazing work for Indian cricket. Steve you are a legend and a very special human being. This is just incredible work by Steve Waugh. Some of these photos have been captured at the grass root level of the game in India. Love ❤️ and respect to him. 🙏🙏

He's my favorite Captain after MSD. The way he set the fielding at the end of 1999 World Cup semifinals with South Africa and got Lance Klusener out, is brilliant

When I was 10,he was my idol and followed him closely during the reliance cup even though India lost.I volunteered briefly at Udayan when I was 24,a place where he contributed alongwith Mark for children of leprosy patients. At 44 now living in Perth permanently-I follow his photographic passion towards cricket. He is one of the finest ambassadors of the game!

As a boy growing up in India and seeing Steve Waugh rising through the ranks, from a batsman to a captain and leading the team so unapologetically, like Aussies say "we play hard cricket", I felt extremely angered and full of blood when Aussies outplayed us in many games with their aggression, sledging and cricketing skills. And then few days after the cricket series I would read Steve's charity work for Mother Teressa Foundation in Kolkata and I would feel absolutely opposite, that is happy, joyful, touched and emotional. That is Steve Waugh from my eyes. Thank you Steve Waugh for a fitting tribute to India, showcasing India's hardship and its true spirit.
