Getting closer I recognised one of them to be the one and only Stevie Winwood. Knowing he lived in this area, I guessed this must be part of his land and he was probably discussing farm business. As I passed I nodded and said, "Morning Mr Winwood, lovely land almost a fantasy" and gave a wink! He looked up but said nothing, just nodded and grinned........Made my day.

Saw him with Traffic at Winterland in SF. I will never forget that concert, and I saw many there. It started in the dark, with random notes being played by the band. Then, somehow the notes gradually morphed into the beginning of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. Stevie had a way of playing that was so melodic. His notes were few, but put together so beautifully. You didn’t want the song to stop! We do not see talent like that today.

Michael Guidera - I've followed Steve W. my entire adult life from age 24 to now ( just turned 77 ). All of his work is superlative, and on top of that he seems like a very nice guy. Put him and Clapton on a stage together and it's like ice cream and cake - both are delicious, but it's hard to say which is better.

Steve has always been the "music nerd"that blows EVERYONE ELSE AWAY. HIS MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE, TIMING, AND CHOPS IN ALMOST EVERY INSTRUMENT is like a master NASA ENGINEER DOING MATH AND BUILDING ROCKETS. There is no one better.

This song has like three of four chords, but is a masterpiece. Simplicity is powerful.

Today's kids should soak some of this in, because this is how it's done! There was a time when actual instruments were played by actual people. Kids.... this is a legend right here, so pay attention. 🧐

2007 Crossroads, what a treat for guitar lovers and music lovers in general. Music we've learned to appreciate. Not the next hottest tune or band for a few yr period. Hard to dispute Winwoods talents and his playing among the greats who've mentioned him as a inspiration.

Steve Winwood : One of the most talented multi-instrumentalists of all time! I call this the best of BLUES in a rock genre! You can tell all the musicians are getting totally lost in that amazing sound!

Traffic and Blind Faith made the best music I’ve heard in my life.Since 1975 when I heard both bands first time I’ve never felt that there is something better. I love Led Zeppelin, Free or Jimi Hendrix, but Traffic and Blind Faith made something really special.
