Still using my note 9 that I bought as soon as it came out. According to accubattery app my battery is at 77% (I even had the phone play games with scripts at night connected to charger so I wasn't really caring about battery condicion) and I can get about 5 hours of sot with medium brightness and mobile data or 33-50h of keeping my phone in a pocket. Sometimes keyboard takes noticable second to appear but it still does everything well. I am updating it either to s23 ultra or 14 pro max in february (can't decide yet) but I'll keep note 9, replace battery and keep using it cause it has 512gb of storage and battery replacement in my country cost maybe 50$

I'm still using my Note 9 but it's definitely starting to show its age a bit. The battery life is horrible and the charging port is dead and the headphone jack is hanging on for dear life. However I'm reluctant to replace it since there's no current phones that have all the features the Note 9 has. All possible replacements I've looked at would have some sort of compromise. Yeah, although I still love this phone, my first Android (Samsung)...incredible display. The slickness of the design, Expandable storage, headphone jack, fingerprint AND face /iris unlocking. (my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I MISS that fingerprint sensor unlock!) I am an iPhone user, so to get this device and mess around w/ some pretty cool little features iPhone just doesnt have, it's fun! Totally customizable little things, like the video wallpaper lock screen, or changing the look of the icons...the screen itself etc. - before iPhone could do that, and even that still has limits I JUST dove in myself and replaced the battery (3rd one in 15 months) on Sunday - didn't want a store to deal w/ this again..overpriced w/ trash lithium. *The process BTW of doing that was far easier than I expected, so happy w/ that. It's starting to feel it's age with lag. Also sadly, The SPen is no longer useful since..eh, it doesnt write in the middle area of the screen anymore (not a magnet case issue, no idea what it is. cables inside were secure in place so perhaps faulty digitizer) Sure old OS...it's fine, I don't think Note 9 could really handle newer Android 11, 12 without totally trashing how this phone will work --performance and battery. BUT...for the cheaper price you can get this now and what it can do...far cheaper when I bought this a year after it came out----it is a great affordable device still!

Got a used one only last December, no regrets at all. But before that I misjudged it upon reading inaccurate specs online (PhoneMore actually). If not for that, I could've gotten an NOS one back in last July...... Will definitely watch out for any battery performance drops and green screen (bad flex cable) issues; will pay top dollar to have these issues fixed should they occur... But yes, the Note 9 (also the S9/+) were the last good phones Samsunk has made; anything after that become iffy on various disciplines. The company really needs to listen to customers' needs and concerns and simply NOT have it their wsy, when pushing out newer models that deprecate the legacy features in question......

The on-screen ones make it a pain to buy tempered glass screen protectors that still work with them. How has your experience with the Surface Duo been? I'm a fellow Note 9 user, and was until recently looking for a replacement, and switched to iPhone, as no current Samsung makes me feel the way my Note 9 still does, but I need a supported phone. PThe Surface has always been on my radar, but the first has some years on it, the second looks worse than the first in my eyes, and there is all the coverage on the small software issues the surface line seems unable to unshackle itself from. Add that to the fact that I live outside the US, in a country where repairs and support for it is nonexistent,

@@elfedorausado I like it a lot. There's a bit of a learning curve to it but once you get used to it and how well it multi-tasks, it's hard to go back to a normal slab phone. The only ones I get anymore are the black screen bug (it thinking the phone is folded back when it's not) and a bug where the notification shade would only drop down on the left screen. The tech community seriously needs to step out of its echo chamber of thinking that a 4 or 5 year old phone is completely unusable for any modern task on a smartphone. A lot of people still have iPhone 6, 7, and 8 (although Apple supports their phones better than anyone else) and they're not complaining. The regular Joe isn't going to say "Oh no! The newest S24 Ultra Max 5++ is out with the snapdragon 8 gen 4+1! The cameras are marginally better and the price is significantly higher! Now I can load apps like Fortnite and Facebook in .00000000001 less seconds!"

Funny hes talking about notification lights and you wouldn't know exactly what it is when the playstation Vida had these whites that were pop up on the top of the device showing you What color the notification was so you knew what notification it was And what application it came from It was cool that Samsung introduced that with the Galaxy S5 in 2014 But playstation Vita did it 1st and 2011 by Sony So you can't say that Samsung invented it because they didn't Actually I think it was invented in 2001 PSP headed blinking white to show you you had a notification so actually Sony did it 1st And then Samsung did it 13 years later
