Thank you, I’m so sick of people whining about bezels. Before the iPhone X, a lot of these people probably had no idea what a bezel even was. I remember rolling my eyes so hard when reviewers complained about the bezels on the iPhone XR.

@shuttzi9878 But there's all these Chinese Xiaomi/Huawei spinoff brands that make this for that price with very good specs. MediaTek is not a dog anymore especially compared to the Tensor, if talking about SD 8 Elite that is another matter.

@@taipizzalord4463 I agree. Especially considering phones like Poco X6 Pro, the new Poco X7 Pro that has flagship level performance and IP68 for less than $400 and OnePlus Nord 4 that feels as premium as the phones 2x the price. Pixels have an advantage of being a SAFE bet. These 7 years of support may be a total bullshit In practice cuz 80% of people will buy a new phone in less than 3 years but what they give is a sense of PROTECTION. You just know u will be treated like an Aristocrat(Fast and frequent updates), rather than a Peasant(Slow and few updates(if any)) and that feeling makes people stay.

@@taipizzalord4463 U may also consider things like App optimizations, camera and microphone Performance in mind. Those are three most important things u will notice daily. The more pleasant and predictable they are the better. 9/10 shots from iphones and pixels are good, while other brands may get 4 or 5/10 at best and that's what really matters to the casual user. Call quality is also very important yet rarely talked about.

In my opinion, the 8a was overpriced from the start. Never should've been over $350. That's the whole point of the A in the series meaning affordable. I have the 8a, and while it's a great phone, it has the usual Pixel Tensor issues. Since I'm on data all the time it overheats and the screen dims on something simple like streaming videos. I will say if you are trying to decide between the 8a and the 9, definitely pick up the 8a. Other than the 9 being brighter and the battery being better you aren't missing out on much.

Well, I got the 8a and I can afford any phone I want but chose the best value. Picked up 8a for $399 when I switched to Mint Mobile and got 12 months of unlimited service for 1/2 price. Best decision I made in years as my service has not changed since switch from T Mobile. The 8a takes better pictures than my previous Samsung flagship and I LOVE the software. Picked up a Pixel 3 Watch 45 mm and am not buying a new phone unless this breaks. I work all day off my 8a and it has been bulletproof. Best phone I have owned since the my legendary Samsung Note 4. The move to Pixel 9 design looking like a generic Galaxy or Iphone was a mistake in my opinion. Pixels lost their identity. I will always own a Pixel from now on but will keep my 8a at least for the next 3-4 years.

How is the battery life? Is it run hot like everyone said?
@lazyrider691826 күн бұрын
@@SIVN89 Typical day today for me with work. I work for a hospice and drive using my GPS all day, call families, use it for Microsoft Team meetings every morning, check my stocks, email, watch KZbin etc. Started my day at 8am and it is 4:15pm and I have 66%. THERE IS NOTHING THIS PHONE CANNOT HANDLE for the average adult with a job and responsibilities. Now, if you play games all day on your phone and complain about heat and battery life, then I cannot help that person. I have no issues with heat. The pictures on this phone crap on any Samsung I owned and the Google software and interface is so streamlined and clean, the Samsungs seem like bloated mess. I picked up a Pixel 6a on Ebay for $100 prior to my purchasing the 8a. The ONLY reason why i didn't keep the 6a was because I had trouble with transferring it to Mint Mobile when I switched. Sold the 6a on Ebay for $115 LOL.... For $399, the 8a is all the phone MOST people need. It is perfect size in my opinion and I prefer the design compared to the new Samsung/Iphone blockiness of the Pixel 9. Money is not an issue for me in buying phones, but I like value and I don't feel any compromise with the 8a or Mint Mobile as my carrier. T Mobile was $100 per month for same service I am getting now for $30 per month. Plus I got 6 months free as a new customer. Literally no difference in my service and I work and drive all day using it.

Would you choose this Amazon renewed or a new Galaxy A55?
@StevealiciousTechАй бұрын
Ooooooooooooooo, now that's a tough choice. Wow...wow....WOW. I think...for $250-300, I'm picking the 8a...if the A55 were less money, then I'd choose that one...but I wouldn't pay more for an A55.

Which is better in the hand? This, or the small 9 series phones? I bet you have held both. I'm coming from a 6a but I'd like an AI capable phone (8 GB over 6 GB) on a small budget.
@AzureRT45621 күн бұрын
I don't own either phone; only fondled them at Best Buy. I think the 8a would be more comfortable due to rounded sides (or whatever the term would be) compared to the flat sides of the 9. Yes it looks nice on the 9 but would rather take the comfortableness of the 8a.
@danabell2709Ай бұрын
I thought about the 8a but whined enough about how bad my 6a was in the sunlight that I was given a choice between the S24 FE and a Pixel 9. I went with the FE and don't regret it. We got it for $470 before tax. Why the FE? I convinced myself it'd be more likely to last 6 years since it struck me as the marginally more powerful phone. My mom got the 6a as a hand me down to replace her A03s. We're both happy and it is wonderful to be able to use it in the sun :)

What hardware problems, I've had this phone for about a month now and I came from the 6A and I don't have any issues. It works just as well as my 6A ever did and better in fact because I seem to get better battery life and it also seems slicker and seems to work better and everything just seems to function better. Have you actually had the phone? I asked because I don't know how many times people complain about something that they've never actually even touched or used for any length of time.
