I was always too scared to explore Syd Barrett & his music, as his personal breakdown & history spooked me. Your animation made me feel more comfortable and made it easy to see he had a childlike innocence & creativity about him. He was an avant garde artist, but had an innocent charm & brilliance about him.

It reminds me of how people grew scared of or awkward toward Beach Boy Brian Wilson after his breakdown and years on drugs(controlled by his shrink). But I've saw him years later a few times as a solo act and he was great, really moving! His post Beach Boys music isn't as glorious, but it's sensitive & sweet! He too is a living musical genius.

OH I'm flattered. How did you know? Why yes this on cassette did inspire me to stay up all night and do that phychodelic album cover with Doc Watson on the cover for Design 1 in college. They put me on Time magazine for that one.....the one with the Mule getting mounted on it.

Thanks Albert :)… I recently got a negative critique from someone. As an artist I know and appreciate that not everyone will like my work. However, this particular person has trolled me before, looking to antagonize me. I won't indulge this person and give them the satisfaction...I create my animations about Syd's songs, simply because I LOVE Syd's songs !..I am so glad that many people, like you, enjoy my animations because they are truly created as labors of love...Thanks again Albert. Your video is a masterpiece, and it made my evening! I commented on another KZbin video about an "Endeavour" episode that had Endeavour discovering a scarecrow wearing a missing man's jacket and ID badge from a nuclear plant. The episode took place in 1968, so the Scarecrow played in my head for the rest of the day. I've been grooving on Syd and the original Pink Floyd for at least 50 years.
