Drove this route back in the '70s into the early '80s when we left Nova Scotia and it hasn't changed much at all since then.

I attended the Mount around that time. Outside of the airport hasn’t changed but inside it has. My daughter graduated with her second degree from the Mount over 3 years ago. The Mount has new buildings, the Motherhouse is a third of its original size, the Halifax Shopping Centre has changed considerably, Simpson’s and the bus area is unrecognizable, Barrington Street layout has changed and Scotia Square is not what it used to be!. The drive from the airport hasn’t changed much but Halifax has. With more and more people moving to Halifax, there will be more changes!

The once frumpy dumpy looking city of Halifax now looks amazingly beautiful. What a transformation! Just ask the people who remember her in the 1950's and 1960's. Halifax is now a beautiful city. If Halifax can transform into a true beauty perhaps, with investment, Sydney Cape Breton could be transformed as well??? Charlotte St. Sydney is so embarrassing for the federal government, you know the government that has the money to invest. The CBRM struggles with the cost of policing and so much more and the feds cannot even help build a new public library. This past summer when cruse ship passengers wished to visit the library in Sydney it was closed for lack of Air Conditioning. Imagine what conditions in that old decrepit library inflict on rare books and papers. Shame on the feds who can bury electrical wire and communications cable under the streets in Whitehorse, Yukon but can't do the same in Sydney Cape Breton. Shame on our federal government for lack of a harbour bridge between Sydney and North Sydney! Their lack of initiative and vision is surely amazing for those of us who compare and contrast Canadian Cities.

The exterior & interior of this airport has completely changed since the early 1980's. I remember the construction. Now it is virtually new.

Not too boring especially in the summer. Lots of things to do even in the winter such as easy access to free skating and not too far from ski hills.

Good place to live and it has tons of stuff to do for its size. Hiking, bars, restaurants here are amazing. Best place to be during summer and autumn
@jhoellopez9464 жыл бұрын
@@mecatroniquejohn thanks for answering I will think about it personally I'm not too sociable person but I don't like a boring and bleak place, in a night for example at least I wanna share with abroad people and why not look for a beautiful Canadian girl you know.
@mecatroniquejohn4 жыл бұрын
@@jhoellopez946 No problem. Halifax at night isn't that bad but if you really like a lively nightlife scene I suggest you to checkout Montréal or Québec City. Halifax isn't that bustling kind of city, it's laid back, very friendly people, mild weather, cost of living isn't bad compared to big cities in Canada

Roads in a bad condition, infrastructure outdated, absolutely garbage.

In particular the 118 highway entering the former city of Dartmouth has been in atrocious condition for years, beginning just past the 18:00 minute mark in the video. Then it gets worse as you see it dump traffic onto a crowded residential street.
