Another great video Steve!. I have the next size larger Anker Solix, it’s the C1000. (1800-2400 watts). Let me just say that it’s amazing! Just tonight we went through a 6 hour power outage. The C1000 kept the house running like it never happened. We had 65” TV, internet, Dish Network DVR, routers, security cameras, 2 large table lamps, a power strip, and 3 devices plugged directly into the C1000 via the built in usb-c outlets. After 6 hours of use we still had 76% battery usage still available. The C1000 is silent, and only weighs 22lbs. We didn’t purchase the solar panels, but they are available for this model. I highly recommend it! PS: It’s highly discounted on Amazon right now for Black Friday!

@@campandcook3118 I am not normally a person to recommend things highly, because everone sets their bar differently. But living in NW Montana, power outages are common place especially in winter. This unit has been a game changer us. So I just wanted to share an actual example of how well this one works, and it just happens to also be on sale for Black Friday….

Great video, very informative! Just ordered mine!!!

Minor point (stating the obvious) but 120w 12v port on a device with 90 wH capacity means very few minutes of use. I think I’m gonna need a bigger box.

I have the 300 AC. Don‘t leave it connected at solar on the evening. Unplug it and replug after sunrise at the morning. Watch the input wattage. Below 8 watts unplug it again and wait for more light. The Solix didn‘t have autostart if the solar delivers power. In bad weather conditions or early in the morning you can‘t get a solar charge if you have not a strong solar panel. The unit shows a charge, maybe 5 watts. And discharge. Underneath 8 watts input this thing discharges, but the blue segments show a charge. The display switches always off. You can set it to 30 min, a setting to stay the display on if the battery is in use is not possible. Overall it can be a good system, but the bad and inefficient solar, no autostart and the display are huge downers.

The C300 DC has a solar "auto start"
@elyeno2 ай бұрын
@@campandcook3118 The AC have not. And it's useless if you are in winter or the weather conditions are bad. The solar charging starts at 8 watts. Below 8 watts the 300 discharge (!). So you waste a lot of solar power. Example: A cloudy/covered day, solar gives you 7 watts. My some years old Goal Zero Yeti 500x or my old Jackery 240 can get at such days about 70 Wh. Not a lot of Wh, but it's more than nothing. The 300 will loose in this circumstances about 3 Wh. See the difference. 70 Wh charged solar energy or 3 Wh loss.

1:14 it has a car jack which can have an ac adapter for 100watts of ac usage

Do you need a certain charging block to charge this up... seems like if you have certain cords you would. EDIT** I just rewatched and saw the cords plugged in... i was only listening the first time.

actually he will take out as much solar it needs , in this case only 100W , you just need to make sure the voltage range is ok

Runs fine on 2*100W 18/24V panels, but I don't understand why nearly none of those stations accept 36/42V solar panels which are common for rooftops etc.

Which model did you purchase? Not all 300 series models come with the LiFP04 batteries.
@iblackfeathersАй бұрын
amazon’s product page for the c300 dc on the q&a section has a question “what does li-ion 32” mean? answer says, “yes. c300 dc uses a lifepo4 battery, which is a subtype of li-ion batteries. “li-ion 32” is a japanese recycling symbol. “3” indicates max iron content, and “2” means it contains over 0.5% phosphorous by weight.” while it answers the question why “lion 32” is printed at the bottom, i think it adds more confusion. most everyone is outside japan and they decided to put this label on it which can cause more confusion than help clarify. the same goes for the printed capacity on the c200 dc which says it is 15000mah at the bottom but advertised as 60,000mah. they don’t clarify things but confuse them even more.

You mentioned pass through charging with solar panels but will it pass through charge through USB C? For example 1 USB C connected to my laptop and the other USB C connected to the wall?

Cool! And what chargers you use to power 140w?

I bought one last week. Love it Besides the unit, you have to go ahead and get a 140 W brick.

Not really not everyone needs ac ports so having a small power station that’s enough for usb devices and 12 v is much better for camping and general use
2 ай бұрын
depends what you do with it , I am using them for my portable consoles , this is more than enough and I am happy to finally have nice options
@PazLeBon2 ай бұрын
oh sure, just generalising and with more for less each year the small ones are just more expensive per kwh and not so good with solar etc so soon will be like having a p.c with 64mb of ram . tho o course that 64mb can still run windows 95 :)
