You connect it to the hotel's Wifi?? What a joke! I just use my Jetpack and avoid hotel wifi altogether. Sometimes, hotel wifi sucks anyway and you get crap connections- this would effect the quality of your feeds through your router. I guess if you need a hookup medium where you can connect like 10 devices at once, this may be your option. But those of us that travel for work, have 2 or three at most and the Jetpack I have offers me internet almost everywhere I go. Sorry, not for me.

Do you have the "SpeedTest" server app running on an internal computer/server on your network? I would think that you do since if you were testing out through your gateway it wouldn't be that high. Unless you gave 10 Gig coming into you home.

I've learned more this morning watching you than I have in past two weeks floundering around on my own. Even got my paid streaming set up. MAX was the WORST. Had to change the password but only affected the Roku tv, not my other devices.

I agree with you on the mesh backhaul if you want to go all wireless. However, I would leave all those devices connected to the switch. Or get a Powerline adapter. Ethernet over powerline and Ethernet over coaxial cable both are bus topologies.

Hey bud. If I have an A95L will the 360 function sync perfectly via Bluetooth with the audio ? My LG Oled has no adjustment for audio sync, so it's unusable. But direct to my AppleTV box or Firecube, I can easily adjust the BT delay to sync it perfectly. Do Sony high end TVs allow this ?

how did the hotel ethernet entertain the device. The router mac address will be rejected as it is a alien device in the routing table in the min 5*, 6* 7* hotels where internet network are secure with firewall, Wifi controller and L2 network switch ... few steps are skipped behind the screen.

If you group the dot with other speakers, say the living room Sonos, and ask Alexa to play music, set a timer, etc., can you have it to where the sound only comes from the Sonos and the inferior dot speaker is disabled? I basically want the dot to be a microphone controller.

Great video. I have a Sony 4k Google TV. 1 year old. I switch off via the remote before going to bed and sometimes when I come down in the morning the TV is on and showing the screensaver. I noticed the battery don't actually claim can last quite long. Do you set " detecting zone " I never perhaps this is why battery drain fast?
