Oh dear. This is fascinating so thank you for posting but I have an almost visceral reaction to seeing airliners in this state. So glad the Concordes are mostly preserved ❤. Miss you Concorde 😢

@SpeedbirdConcordeOne ah thank you for commenting. It is really sad isn’t it to see them like this. And yes - I miss Concorde too! I worked for BA when it was still flying and got the chance to fly to JFK and back; back in 1992. Interesting to observe the VIPs on board! Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford!

@@brianmcdonald6519yes - I’m glad to have captured the final days of these amazing aircraft - albeit in such sad circumstances

That was the last Jumbo I flew, landed in JFK 13L from a Canarsie arrival, my FO flew it home so I flew the approach into London, he landed we taxed to the gate and shutdown, we had about 20 people on board all escaping the impending C19 shutdown. We both knew that would be the last time we would get to fly her. Sad.

@johnmorris7815 That must have been such a sad and poignant moment knowing it would be the last time…hope you have moved onto another fleet since …….

@ indeed, I was basically furloughed for two years then given the A350 so it all worked out in the end, I do miss the old girl though.

I operated as cabin crew on this aircraft and surprisingly also on the blue air 737 next to it after I left BA
@HeathrowAircraftАй бұрын
@tristar142142 that’s a strange coincidence isn’t it! What’s the chances of both aircraft featuring together in the same film!😲

For those doesn't know the cockpit of another BA 747 attaches to G-BYGG's upper deck is registered as G-CIVM, a Oneworld-painted 747

There are still 747s on Teruel, I don't even know why they are still there.
@HeathrowAircraftАй бұрын
@arthurgabriel5709 yes it’s a really weird anomaly. In the first lockdown of spring 2020 all 5 flew out from LHR to Teruel - -G-CIVA; R; S;T and X. I’ve still got the screenshot from FR 24 showing them flying in convoy on 3 April 2020. Why they are still there - and in fairly good condition from what I hear - who knows? 🤔

@@HeathrowAircraft I hope Atlas Air buys them since it is the biggest operator of the model
