Interesting videos. I really like the fact that you discuss the dissents to the majority opinion. Often, they are cited in later cases, especially when the decision is overturned.

Small error: the Due Process Clause incorporated the Bill of Rights freedoms against the states, not the Privileges and Immunities Clause (which makes no sense, but neither does SCOTUS half the time).

Question What would happen if the children didn't have permission to not read the prayer? Would they go to juvie or have to pay a fine because it was the law?

What about Hylton v. United States? Did Marbury v. Madison really "invest" the power of judicial review? Or did Hylton do that?
@sana71053 жыл бұрын
Marbury V Madison was the key start of judicial review...
@faizandewan95208 ай бұрын
I mean...Marbury v. Madison was the first case ever where judicial review was used and established because of the judiciary act of 1789 being null and voided by the SC.

new york made students do a non denominatal prayer - violated establishment clause: congress can not establish a religion (but New York is a state) - 14th amendment says states need to give citizens bill of rights - yes, it violated the first amendment - separation between church and state why it matters - individual liberty > social order

I believe 2 justices didn’t vote for other reasons. I saw the reasons somewhere I just don’t remember what they were. (I think one my have missed the oral arguments, and the other one may have been sick -I don’t know those are just guesses)

Engel v. Vitale outcome was given & correct but latter cases arent the same; that's the problem;their is intent to not recognize differences between cases. THere is soo much ignorance within the political spectrum in US, outcomes are just going to be contradictory as time passes

I would really appreciate it if you would remove your bias from this specific court case concerning state sponsored religious prayer. When you speak about it, you provide sympathy to the state sponsored prayer by stating that the prayer is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but in fact it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND ILLEGAL, you are making it seem like it is okay when it fact it is NOT. I thought you provided BIAS FREE educational content but in fact you do not and insert your own political bias and ideas.

??? Sounds like a you problem cause I’m not finding bias anywhere
