Me and my family went on a cruise right before covid last February. One of the performers was this Asian lady, and during a skit, she said, "if you can't tell, I'm Chinese". And this was when covid was still new and only in China. She went on with, "how long have I been in the US? 5 years so you guys can stop holding your breath now." Just thought it was funny and figured I could share

Absolutely understand freaking out over bed bugs! I’m allergic to the little bastards and can speak from experience on just how insanely difficult they are to get rid of! Took me nearly a year, moving into a brand new apartment with no carpeting, buying entirely new furniture made of materials they can’t easily crawl on, and keeping almost all of my clothing in vacuum-storage bags in a freezing storage unit for 6+ months to finally get rid of them! I wanted to scratch my own skin off at times and couldn’t even tell which spots were bites and which were hives. :(

Bed bugs and lice. The 2 hardest, most annoying things to get rid of. My family dealt with bed bugs a while back when we were staying with a family friend. We, luckily, shook them off when we moved. But lice... We're still dealing with lice on and off. Those things suck and we can't seem to get rid of them.

I was on a cruise about a month ago now. My mother is a crazy travel person and has hated being locked up, and all protests about safety fell on deaf ears (like, if you said you weren’t going, she’d cancel your phone plan/throw a tantrum kind of bs). So we all got vaccinated and flew to Greece. The cruise itself was good. You had to be vaccinated to get on, and they did a rapid test before you could get on. You washed you hands everytime you went into an eating area. The ship itself was at half capacity. You got tested again towards the end of the cruise, if you didn’t do this you couldn’t get off the boat. Everything was sanitized consistently. And if you experienced symptoms, you were quarantined/dropped off at a stop to quarantine. I’m not gonna say it’s super safe to do it, of course staying home is the best case scenario. But if you’re dying to travel or smth, NCL was pretty serious about keeping everything sanitary ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Stay safe everyone.

After about a week, my hands looked like I'd been in a fist fight with a brick wall. I had to get rash ointment and covered my hands in it (then in gloves, because the kittens tried to lick it off and that's no good) when I went to sleep at night so they would heal and not just be open wounds in a fungus-contaminated environment.

It's a nuisance when your glasses steam up - happens coming indoors from the cold too, even without a mask on. Here's how to stop it happening: Put a small blob of washing up liquid on your finger end. (=dish soap outside UK). Spread the WU liquid over both sides of the lens and rub vigorously with kitchen paper until the lens is crystal clear. Lasts about a week, depending on how humid the air is. Scale it up to a big blob & a duster & apply to insides of car windows & they'll steam up less. Can't get to the USA but love your work - reminds me of my nursing days, same damned problems - so good luck with the show. And if you should happen to release a live DVD, we have DVD players in the UK... Stay safe
