When I was a very young kid, the Crescent Limited always attracted me. I even made and painted a Ps-4 out of a shoebox and some toilet paper rolls. Back then I already loved trains, but - as I said - I was young and didn’t know too much. But then as I gained a couple years, I realized something through my research: the Crescent is - in my opinion- the best train on Earth. I still think that. I’ve always dreamed of taking the Amtrak Crescent just to see the route. And now, sure enough, the best 3rd party Trainz DLC maker has made one of the best trains to ever run in America. Steve, you’ve done a great job with the locomotives and the rolling stock, and I’m happy to say that I’ve been enjoying your Crescent Limited as well as your A&WP 290 for several months now. Keep up the great work! I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Very nicely done! The narrator remarked during the scene at the scrap yard that these engines were "infamous". I believe he meant "famous". Otherwise, the comparison of your artwork with actual photos was outstanding!
@jacobwoods87383 жыл бұрын
He is referencing infamy, such as President Roosevelt’s “Day that will live in infamy” speech. The infamous XXX is perfectly normal, just different to fame.
@bonzeroo3 жыл бұрын
@@jacobwoods8738 Merriam-Webster defines infamy as "evil reputation brought about by something grossly criminal, shocking or brutal .". Roosevelt's deliberate use of this word is indeed appropriate as this was a shocking and brutal act by the Japanese. Bonnie and Clyde were infamous criminals for the same reason- they did things that were shocking , brutal and evil. I'm not aware that these engines did anything particularly shocking, brutal or evil, such as deliberately choosing to come off the rails and run people down (to be ridiculous). However, they were famous for many reasons, including the pulling of Roosevelt's funeral train. What might be considered infamous is the scrapping of these engines, save for the one at the Smithsonian. Hence my comment. As a wholly different aside, your "PRR FG-1" video is outstanding. Having a "what-if" locomotive and actually constructing it was brilliant.

I would also say that you’re the best Trainz modeler ever, my favorite, and best Trainz website that I have ever had in my entire career! And one last thing. If I had like $1000, then I would pay to commission you some locomotives that I want you to make like the Southern Pacific P-8 #2472, Union Pacific streamliners 4-6-2 #2906 and 4-8-2 #7002, Spokane Portland and Seattle 700, Western Maryland M-2 Challenger, Northern Pacific Z-8 Challenger, Santa Fe 3450 class 4-6-4 and 5000 class 2-10-4, Southern Pacific GS-1, Central Railroad of New Jersey T-38 Camelback, Pennsylvania Railroad Q1 Duplex #6130, Chicago and Northwestern E-4 4-6-4.
