I just realized why i haven’t had a successful owl shoot…i didn’t know i was supposed to tell them I’d make them look pretty! You took that jet photo at 1/125?!?!?! You got some serious panning skills. Thanks for the great video

Instead of banning plastic straws they should ban balloons. I couldnt tell you how many I have picked up while hiking. Great video.

Always great to see you regardless of what you find. If we all just picked up a bit of trash as we went, the world would be a cleaner place all around. Already looking forward to the next! I’ll be out in your parts mid September leading a small workshop, maybe I’ll get lucky and find the elusive Steve!!

Cool outing. Always a pleasure to watch. Just got back from a quickie stop at GTNP. Also explored a new place, Phelps Lake. The 1-hour wait for parking at mid-day was worth it. Beautiful setting and the back half of the lake is fantastic wilderness with many wildflowers right now. We were really hoping for a glimpse of a bear, other hikers reported seeing them (black bears), but no luck, even with few other hikers later in the day. We did get to witness the final few minutes of a majestic sunset at Schwabacher, though, that was pure magic! Can't wait until retirement, when I can just camp out in the park for a few weeks without needing to rush.

Cool porcupine. Forgot they were out there. I was on the banks of the Firehole River while on vacation and photographed a muskrat. I thought it was a beaver at first but wrong tail. Cool bonus while trying to get a few casts in with my son. Thanks for taking us along.

Another great video.. the joy you share with what you are doing, real life with the sneezing 🙂 and awesome images! Quite the range from a porcupine (in a tree no less), elk, to the super fast aging F-16s (hard to be they are celebrating 50 years this year) Thunderbirds.

The Porcupine was so cool, never seen one and I cannot remember the last time someone showed one on their video. The velvet on the elk's antlers was gorgeous!

I've had a GoPro hero 8 since it's release and never could use it. Always overheated in under a minute. Decided to try it again recently and after some new firmware updates, it no longer overheats. 🙄 They can be such a pain. When they work though, they're great.

@@SteveMattheis yes check it out, battery last about 2 hours each, really amazing. I use it with the ulanzi gp-16 magnet plates, works really well and if you pair it with the dji mic 2 you get good wireless audio. Anyways i really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing☺️

So, I have it figured out how to get around the NP. I fly out there and pay you to have breakfast with me and then you and your new friend just go for a hike in the woods with our cameras. Or I just happen to show up at the same parking spot as you and we just start hiking together. Loved the porcupine.

Another great video Steve! Quick question and possible request. Question: Have you ever had to deploy your bear spray? Request: I am able to shoot a lot of Bald Eagles here in Ohio, do you get the opportunity there to get any? Would you do a video of that?

I’ve never sprayed a bear👍 And we do have lots of bald eagles here but not many great photos ops typically.
