This video shows a simple technique to make 3D resin embellishments. These embellishments are ideal for setting into a casting, putting on a picture or on your other crafts like your card making etc. I am sure that you will be able to make some far more elaborate embellishments than I have here, but the technique is the same. These resin 3D embellishments can brighten up any project and the simple technique means that you can make them out of your left over resin.

Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.

Steve, this is my second watching of this video. My first reaction was that I disliked it, but on second glance; now I get it, so now it's a like. I really feel bad when I push a dislike of a video that someone's taken time and effort in making; it almost feels like I'm hurting their feelings, so I don't do it anymore. Now, if I watch anyone's video, and I don't like it, I just don't click on anything. So, I've retracted my first disapproval. Sometimes it takes a second look, and you can see a few things that you might've missed.

Thank you for your videos! You have actually been my teacher since day one in regard to all things resin. I appreciate you, and I keep you on the TV while making pours and creating because you just cheer up my day. I'm new to resin, online sales AND new to selling my art and such, so cross your fingers for me. Your advice has been priceless!

@Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts Thank you so much! I appreciate you. I just finished a few of your videos, lol. My pens always leave flashing or extra for me no matter what. Orrrr... too concave and needs a layer. Yours turned out awesome first try! I had to watch that one a few times 🤣. Obviously the last video I just watched hahahaha. Have an awesome day! Thank you!

Thank you for these tips. I love how you can think outside the box and it triggers more ideas watching you. As for trolls? "Nolli illegitimi caborundum. ' And yes, I know it's tongue in cheek Latin. (before I get trolled by some anorak) I learn as much if not more watching errors made and mistakes put right. Carry on. You are in good company. The UK has some amazingly creative artists now. All my favourites including you are, Toonpish and AB Creative. Keep on trucking. 👌

Hi Steve. I was just thinking as I saw the pretty scraps. Could you cut them into different sized small pieces, let them completely dry, and then add them to different molds with clear resin, giving them a mosaic type look? I think that they'd make some real pretty jewelry; especially pendants. I hope that you try it one day in a video. Thankx for all of your videos. Not only do beginners like me learn so much, but they also get my thoughts going too.

You will have to let me know how the new resin does.

Have you ever seen lace butterflies which are used to embellish clothes? I bet some would make a great template or base for a resin project. Also, have you ever had any color theory classes? I know you are colorblind, but just knowing what colors work well together, and maybe trying doing heraldic color combinations would be a new stretch for your art. I wrote a song for a friend I used to have who could only see blue and yellow- I'd like to share it with you :)

(Don’t call me) Colorblind JoAnn Abbott I can see the sky of blue Though I can’t see every hue There’s colors I can find So don’t call me color blind Yellow daffodils in spring The color of a wedding ring I don’t feel confined So don’t call me color blind I do not miss what I’ve never seen And maybe it can be true There are some colors just here for me Which are unseen by you! Hear that bluebird singing sweet Feel the yellow sun warm me with heat I have peace of mind So don’t call me colorblind
