This is the most likely thing in my opinion too. There's just simply too much to account for. Even if sending artificially created life by aliens would take a lot of effort. We just assume given the amount of years that one of them would have figured out warp driving or faster than light travel. I think we just have some pretty good technology that hasn't been released yet that may have even been made long before humans. But that's a different theory

How important was Copernicus, really? Yes, he is famous for reviving a heliocentric model. But he naively guessed (without checking) that the various planetary orbits were circular. So it didn't match observations, & the existing complicated geocentric model did (because it had been constructed specifically based on observations, to fit them). It was only until Johannes Kepler, who used existing astronomical observational data (collected in large part by Tycho Brahe to discredit the heliocentric model) to calculate the actual elliptical orbits, before we had a working heliocentric model. I would have thought Copernicus, by introducing a heliocentric model that was at odds with observations of planetary movements (because of the naive guess about circular orbits), if anything, would have set back heliocentrism. For that reason, I give maybe 96+% of the credit to Kepler, & maybe

It was named for Copernicus, because he was associated with dethroning Earth from the center of the universe. But Copernicus himself is not known to have advocated for the mediocrity (aka Copernican) principle. Also, the Copernican principle isn't science. It's a generally reasonable starting assumption, more a guideline in the philosophy and practice of science. In the same category to Occam's Razor (parsimony principle).

But Christianity is a sect of Judaism where Moses wrote Genesis in 1400 BC. So the War of the Religions is simply God's Creation vs every other belief. Even today there is Materialsim vs Theism ... and the dominant theological belief is in the God of the Jews & Christians. And again. Christians lead the Science revolution, development of the scientific method and are the majority of nobel prize winners The world was against God 3400 years ago ... are are against God today ... because they all have an organized firm believe in something or someone that is not God but is responsible for the Universe & existence. The Function, Intelligence & Mind Categories proved the Universe & Life are functions composed of functions and were made by an intelligence with an UNNATURAL & nonphysical mind ( spirit/soul). But the world refuses to believe the prove for God ( of the Jews & Christians) is as simple as "Only an intelligence makes Functions." There are no alien intelligence. God created Man in His Likeness ... with a puny body & soul ... to be His Children knowing that they will sin and what God will need to do to save their souls from His just nature. The world opposes this belief for they all have their own religions or ideologies. Everything in the Universe is clearly & obviously Functions. Everything about Jesus ... is in the Torah( hebrew bilble) including the Jews rejecting the Son of God and being cursed until they repented. The religions that firmly believes in the God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob ...who is a Father, Son & Spirit ... have correctly identified the intelligence that made every function and fully explained why? The Trinity is actually in the Torah with the first three verses of Genesis in the original old Hebrew revealing God is plural & singular and a Father, Son & Spirit. The world had a 7 day week before God called Abraham to be the father of the faith & the Jews, and Moses wrote Genesis. But Man had free will to believe in what ever "gods" he created knowing that everything in the Universe is a Function. God had a reason for the 6 day creation and the 7th will belong to God ... saying 1 day is like a year or 1000 years ... and Gods Son will return & rule for 1000 years before Judgement Day with 144 000 male Jews who were killed in END TIMES believing in the Christ. The mention of Giordano Bruno prompted a recollection linking a series of circumstances I had a few years ago. I was reading a book by Titania Hardie called 'The Rose Labyrinth'. She mentions an execution of a young Italian noble woman, Beatrice Cenci, in 1599, the year before the execution of Giordano Bruno. As I knew The Scientist death was factual, I researched the woman and found that her execution was also factual and on Google I found her painting by Guido Reni. Two days after the research I watched a David Lynch film dvd called Mulholland Drive, and by coincidence in one scene you can see the painting of Beatrice Cenci. What's the link. Both were sentenced to death by the Church.

Just being in the right place at the right time I've seen a few ET craft in my time. These were truly exotic vehicles of a technology we will never have since they broke our rules of physics for example becoming invisible or completing incredible manoeuvres. I think religion is an attempt to understand the Cosmos which has now been discredited. Great discussion, but this channel once again reveals its bias and limitations but taking only a Western perspective and ignoring an easter one. Western scientists almost always start with the Greeks and discuss Christianity when discussing ancient worldviews and thinking but do no inquiry into Eastern and other (e.g., Australian, Native American, African, etc.) worldviews. And the Vedas from India in particular offer a view that these Western scientists know nothing about and that would open up their mind if they ventured to truly learn about and explore.

Many scientists ridicule church's reactions towards scientific developments, especially the atrocities committed by the inquisition.

And of course the interview is laced with Christianity, so to comment on Christianity is hardly off topic regardless of belief. Remember f.agni is the same person (in a different section of this thread)that you had to explain the meaning of your assertion that sometimes the comments are sometimes deeper than the interview, a sentiment which I totally agree with. Not to be insulting, but the fact that you had to explain that says quite a bit about the one inquiring.
