Hungary has elected authoritarianism. Translation, it is the will of (a significant number of) the people for Hungary to become another Belarus in ten to twenty years. An alliance with authoritarian countries by way of becoming one is not a marriage of convenience. That's a lousy excuse and a cover for an ideological decision they've made years ago. Countries like Belarus do not belong in the EU. I'd rather have them do Putin's bidding outside of the EU than the inside. The EU expelling Hungary would also send a strong message to others f*ing around, like Slovakia for example. In or out? I'm fully open to accepting new EU members who subscribe to the values of the union and defend them (Ukraine, Moldova, hopefully Georgia - and let's not forget the Balkan countries like Montenegro, and maybe Albania). We simply cannot afford to keep saboteurs in at this time. Too much is at stake.

Then he and his men and allies go on to (grimly) defeat the invaders. This is the spirit Ukraine must have. If Z-Man accepts a crap deal, dump him. I had to quit watching this channel because of the constant criticism of Biden, Jake Sullivan and their alleged weakness when in reality Biden has been tougher on Russia than all the other presidents combined. Congratulations on playing your part in getting rid of them..I am sure Putin is very pleased with your work. Now you'll get see Trump and his "toughness" in action.

Lincoln, Eisenhower, Hoover, Nixon were Republicans and very different people. Trump is for better or worse, Trump. Not very political at all. He may not be incarcerated for the rest of his life, now.

Democrats are good for Ukraine? Democrats whose platform is fully endorsed by the Communist Party USA? Last I hear, Ukrainians don't want to return to communism. Are you hearing something different?

OMG. Europe splitting up into a bunch of smaller "more effective" alliances is THE most sure route to WW3. Down the road, you can even take Russia out of the equation, as an aggressor. History is very clear on that one. I will say, the renewed cooperation between Hungary and Iran on nuclear tech surprised me, but on reflection, with Pooty steering Orban... Trump needs to learn of that ASAP, because he's very tough on Iran. Can some unimpeachable source be linked to regarding said deal?

I think it was a mistake for Zelensky and the Ukraine bubble to side with the Democrats so clearly. Trump will certainly not forget that. Perhaps it would have been better to invest some of the money raised for drones etc. in the election campaigns of candidates from both parties who support military aid to Ukraine? Ukraine should follow the example of the Israel lobby if it wants to be heard in Washington.
@rcmonksСағат бұрын
Zelenskyi has been heard very well in Washington. It's the Administration that has been foot-dragging and slow-walking aid. 31 tanks to date and zero F-16s. 10% of approved aid delivered out of $61million.

Left wing ideology wishes to approach everything by consensus in fear of mistakes and believe they are not understood because people are not sufficiently sophisticated enough. Right wing ideology wishes to make instinctive direct decisions with little if any consensus with minimal fear of mistakes and believe they're not understood because people have lack of vision. The problem is that both are right and wrong at the same time because no dogma can cater for all circumstances. Each circumstance should be analyzed and the appropriate dogma applied and as important the correct people need to oversee the actions taken. EG: Quick decisive decisions need to be prosecuted by people who innately believe in this approach. A person who innately believes in consensus can not prosecute quick decisive decisions effectively. And vice versa. Ultimately dogma is the problem. There are a myriad of procedures but never a procedure for what happens if no procedure in the current list applies!

Regading JEF, & similar formats within NATO; yes, I think that is what will (need) to happened.. Also, look at the Nordic, & NB8 formats.. Now that both Finland & Sweden has become part of NATO, those groups are consolidating rapidly.. They may not be more than a bit over 30 million in population, but together they represent over 2 trillion US $ in GDP. They represent what is considered to be one of the most innovative regions of the world, & they still have some local manufacturing capabilities, including a not insignificant weapons industry, including development..🧐 This is potentially a "old-new" powercentre evolving. The old North looks to be coming together again, & from history we know that when the North joins together, they are not a force to be taken lightly..

All this 'argument' all hinges on your stupid Presidential system which puts so much emphasis onto a one individual in the White House rather than a Parliamentary focus where the 'Leader' is just one part of a team all with equal, authority, more or less, as a part of the Parliament subject to debate in the House or Senate ! And subject to election with the whole; not a separate stand alone election for a figurehead !

The first thing everyone needs to do is be realistic as to what an Ukraine victory looks like. When victory represents Ukraine sovereignty and neutrality, victory is obtainable. As long as victory represents a return to prior boundary lines and nato membership, victory is unobtainable, now or ever.

Who put that bullshit in your head? Putin? There are no "prior boundaries" There are existing, universally recognized boundaries and NATO membership is the basis right of any country, especially one that has be brutalized for years by Russia.
