The only reason Lance Armstrong was first man on the moon was that it was found out later he was illegally doping. Buzz Lightyear was later awarded the medal for first place.

Steven Seagal was a big action movie star mostly in the very late 80's and early to mid 90's. He did study Aikido in real life, but having studied Aikido myself, though admittedly to nowhere near the degree Seagal did, I can tell you I would NEVER recommend an expert in Aikido enter an MMA tournament. I would even strongly advise an Aikido student or teacher from ever fighting a professional boxer. Aikido skills can be useful in a fight, but it's nowhere near as effective as Seagal would like to make people believe it is. In addition I thought this comedy bit was priceless because Segura is spot on about how Seagal acts as if he's an expert in damn near everything in life. Like he's this all knowing all accomplished entity or something. I saw his show a few times where he polices and it was really sad to be frank. Segura is right, he's completely out of shape now, he does pander to all races with the way he speaks, and when he did the fighting demonstrations on the show the person or people "attacking" him were literally about 65% to 70% of Seagal's size as a man (Seagal even before the weight gain is a big guy). It was just a joke really. Seagal is basically a punchline now for most people who grew up with his movies like my generation (Gen X). Even in his prime I have no doubt he would be beaten badly and easily by any top MMA fighter or professional boxer. Seagal is the epitomy of a guy who bought into his own "hype".

Aikido actually really works, but it was intended for fighting sword and spear wielding opponents charging at you, after you had been disarmed by something. A careful martial artist who knows you are trying to use his momentum against you, won't let you do anything by not overcommitting

Aikido is never going to stand up to MMA, however, he did provide some effective training to legit MMA fighters. Both former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida directly credited KO wins to a modified front kick they learned from Steven Seagal.
