Steven shares with us an original Iski praise song!

“Sing a new song to the LORD ! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands. Join in the chorus, you desert towns; let the villages of Kedar rejoice! Let the people of Sela sing for joy; shout praises from the mountaintops! Let the whole world glorify the LORD ; let it sing his praise.” Isaiah 42:10-12
When the Iski church was born, afterwards many asked us, “Is it okay for us to write new songs and praise God for saving us?” We were like, “Yes, absolutely! That’s what He wants us to do!” I mean these people didn’t have old hymnals to pull from, there was no iTunes worship playlist. There was just a thankfulness and a deep desire to express it. So, from that point on, almost every evening the new church would get together and late into the evening they would write new praise songs in their heart language. Now there are too many to count!
One of those new song writers is Stiven. When Stiven heard God’s story for the first time he immediately fell passionately in love with Jesus. From that point on he began writing and introducing songs to the church. This is a video of one of the songs he wrote. It’s simple but so heartfelt.
