A neat little detail is that we've actually seen the pipe Steven rides down to get to Garnet's room before. In "Together Breakfast", a super early episode, Steven actually rides that pipe down through Rose's room and into Garnet's room. That's why he knew there was a way down from there and asked the room to reveal it at 2:25. The attention to detail is mindblowing

Interestingly, all Peridot’s been talking about, to herself, her log, and Jasper since we’ve met her is the Cluster, the Earth’s impending doom, and Yellow Diamond. The only time she isn’t talking about these things is when she and our main characters are directly addressing each other. This show was really made for the rewatch.

“When it Rains” is actually my favorite episode of Steven Universe. That part where Peridot steps out into the rain and it looks like she’s crying is perfection.

Garnet became more open when she was revealed as a fusion. Idk if it was stated anywhere or not but it gives the same vibes as coming out and finally feeling comfortable enough to be yourself. I almost feel like they mentioned this was intentional but it's been a while

10:00 Steven has shown many times that he is much stronger than a regular human. He just ripped open a piece of metal that is not something a regular human can do and he was able to push back gem fusion experiments in the hospital episode with his strength. He also lifted a human several times his size in episode 2 of this season and he was shown lifting heavy pieces of metal like its nothing in the same episode.

Yeah, isn't it great that the show builds it up so subtly that a lot of people don't really realize it until much later? It's findings moments like this that make SU the most rewatchable show out there. Edit: And I get that it's tempting to point these things out to people. But I think it's best to let people watch the show blind. They'll realize it eventually.

@@shipshow463 They already realized it. They reacted with shock in episode 2 when Steven easily lifted someone several times his weight. The problem is that they have either forgotten it or it is not a constant thing in their minds.

Yes, there could be a sizeable time gap between when they watch the episodes. Or they might just be thinking that it's a bit of cartoon logic in action. I guess I'd say that if they forgot about it, let them figure it out on their own later. Although I understand that you might want to remind them of this fact since it was something they already pointed out.

i remember in that meat beat mania episode i was pretty impressed with how strong he was when he ripped the grill off the game and smashed the screen to get garnet to snap out of it

That is definitely one of the earlier moments when we can see Steven's strength. But I'd argue that even him lifting up the Laser Light Cannon with his dad in the second episode shows some fairly above-average strength for a kid his size.

Peridot might be my favorite Gem. The show really starts picking up halfway through season 1, but this point is the part where I'm most in a hurry to get to during a re-watch.
