My grandkids play outside with about 10 other local kids as soon as the weather allows , I dont have the Tv on , we have radio 3 playing and sometimes I put a tune on , my 1 year old grandson really got into porcupine tree when I put the live at Tilburg vinyl album on , he went over to the speaker and was transfixed , he clearly has taste :)

I agree with Steven's comments on this current generations stigma to just sit at home and never leave the house. That is a shame (~3:30-4:30). I am not suprized at all that my fav band, Rush, knows of PT, and listens to them as Alex L. stated.

im 18 and agree with all of this! hip hop isnt what it was and music in general i think isnt the same, its more about images,money and a competition. I dont listen to the radio or watch tv really, due to it all being force fed crap, i spend most my time writing songs, recording, practicing, listening, reading and just generally aiming to be a better musician but with a keen interest learning of worldwide things...the stuff kids my age would say is boring or nerdy

Oh man! I perfectly suit the FoaBP theme of passive youth, drained of curiosity. I feel guilty about it cause i know what i really want is passion, and curiosity. BUT, when that computer is the only thing i've got to do, i jump on it and FWOOM 4 hours have gone by! I played WoW for 3 years and i can confidently say it fucked me up to a point, i didnt care about social activites outside of the game, I barely cared about school, heck, i barely care about school NOW! Geez, whats becoming of us.
