With the exception of the shaky lens transitions, the Pixel performed exceptionally well. However: PIXEL (Photos) and iPHONE (Videos) as always. But after watching this video I'd use the PIXEL as my main while the iPHONE would be my backup.

Apple needs to fix blurry videos and blurry small objects. Camera transition doesn't lag or stutter, it's just that the cameras are far apart and they don't use cropping to make it look like they are on top of eachother, it's not a big problem unless you are taking professional grade videos and in that case due to the iPhone blur when zooming, i would still prefer the pixel, and honestly you shouldn't be using a phone for professional work anyway, they suck no matter what phone or What KZbinr tries to convince you that the iPhone is good enough. iPhone has worse problems but nobody talks about those.

You missed the manual focus setting in your advanced settings exploration and it's really cool - it actually visually highlights the in-focus areas of the image in purple so you know what's in-focus.

at minute 9:05 the poor resolution of the videos is evident Blame the horrible eis. If you disable the "image stabilization" from the pixel camera settings it improves everything considerably.I have reported this problem I don't know how many times, Google doesn't want to improve it It's easier for them to make us users use the useless video boost.

I think Google does a great job with the tensor chips I have a regular eight and it works just fine besides heating up when I record video for like 15 minutes in a row I live in Texas though so all my phone's do that but the pixel does it faster I heard the tensor 4 is better at heat management though

People, Google can be made a very decent job in Tensor G4, but understand, it is a weak chipset compared to Snapdragon 8 gen 3 or A18 from Apple. It costs the same, so it’s not fair…for who think it is an upgrading coming from S24U, it’s not, better OS, better haptics and camera, but poor chipset. I hope Google adjust the price or use Snapdragon Elite next Google Pixel.

Hi. Thanks for the video. Look at 12:42. Subject separation is weak in iPhone photo. If you take a picture with standard mode on Pixel, you can apply background blur later in Photos app. Works good. I have both phones and Pixel is more detailed in my comparison.

I feel like you didn't take full advantage of the video boost. I have both cell phones and the pixel video boost gives better quality at night than the iPhone. Just look at the background noise, the quality of the video.

Very good and useful review! I love the Pixel's camera. I've tried it recently, and I found it both quite natural and detailed (the opposite of my S23 Ultra). The videos smoothness is far from what you get on the iPhone, though. The RAWs on the Pixel are impressive, given how fast they are captured during daytime.

That's the best comparison of the two. Really few reviewers talk about the processing and I do agree that pictures from the iPhone are often over sharpened. Most reviewers when looking at the same images would just say that the iPhone shots are sharper as if it is always a good thing or that pixel images are not as sharp, so they prefer the over sharpened look. I hope Apple adds some manual control over sharpening in the same way they did with photographic styles.

Tbh all three use the same modem of Qualcomm. So it won't make a huge difference. Just don't buy Exynos version of Samsung phones. I assume by Samsung u mean s24. Low budget Samsung phones have very bad Exynos modems. Don't use them. same goes with xiaomi

Btw they updated the pixel camera app a couple of days ago and returned the exposure and shadow sliders. You have to enable that in the settings.

Nice video, I think one thing a lot of reviewers don't consider is the camera app experience. Pixel's looking good for me, but I think the iphone has dominated that category for quite a long time. I'm hoping android phones can somehow break that streak. A lot of them think they need to provide more features and modes. But I think it's better with simpler and cleaner looks like the iphone's camera app

The iPhone switches to the main camera when zooming under low light conditions. You can check that by covering the 5x lens after zooming in.

The ai video enchancment you keep talking about in the pixel is probably about the video boost feature that the pixel provides in the settings where you would choose resolution and fps. It makes normal and lowlight footage way better but it takes like an hour to process each video.

Why did you missed pixels 8k mode? though it was with the touch of AI and took very long to process. You said, you already said pretty much everything we have to know. But that feature also have significant impact on video capability of the pixel phone more importantly in low light video, the difference is a milestone ahead. So when you choose the iphone being better in the lowlight video capability, I think its also good to include that. For people to know that they can fix that issue and could have a better video in low light even compared to the iphone.

Well, when you use 5x lens in the iPhone 16 Promax in low-light conditions, it is just the cropped image from a 1x lens. Thus, the quality of the image is terrible. This is a real problem when it comes to using 5x lens in Iphone compared to other phones
