In my opinion, the Xiaomi 14 is for users who are more creative in photography. It can also be used by basic shooters. While the iPhone is for straightforward users. For me, the Xiaomi 14 is a way better option because it promotes creativity, who knows, it may even unleash some photography skills from you. Can we also take the time to appreciate the effort pulled off by Steven just to bring thing this informative and creative content. Love this channel

That's right my Xiaomi 13 pro has the same camera as my dad's Xiaomi 14 and they've both made me more creative and overall better at photography unlike the iphone 15 and I can confirm that because my grandma has the iPhone 15

i use both hahaha i own 15 plus and 14 ultra i use 15 as my daily driver as i prefer the ecosystem of apple and the video quality and whenever i go on a trip i use xiaomi for taking photos and use 15 plus for videos...in other word it really depends on what u prefer iphone is for daily driver phone doesnt have a lot of features but it gets thing done xiaomi and other is more for photography enthusiast people

Great comparison, you've covered all major use cases in one video 👌 Since I switched from Pixel 8 Pro to Xiaomi 14, I have really enjoyed the more cinematic and contrasty look of the Xiaomi and the Leica processing is really nice. One big difference the Xiaomi has over all other phones is the way it handles bright lights. There's such a natural warm glow to lights, whereas others will blow out the brightest parts and have a sudden transition, particularly Pixel! The Xiaomi 14 is also amazing at handling night scenes with different lights having different colour temperatures.

Especially in low light and videos other companies are still behind. If you care about zoom or several advanced settings then fair but apple excels in every major camera/video department and you have to accept it. I have an Iphone 14 pro max and a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, for photography the samsung is way more versatile, the iPhone has a problem with focusing (it cannot focus as close as the samsung) and there is also a problem with light bleeding through the lense on the iphone, but the video recording is a bit better on the iphone with harsh lightning

I used the S22U before buying the iPhone 14 pro, and Samsung only has a better zoom module, in all other cases for photos and videos on all modules, the iPhone 14 pro is better, but it can’t focus so closely on the main module, so you need to use macro a mode that is based on a wide-angle module, and its quality is worse than the main module, I understand this, but this is a problem with all new phones that have a large camera sensor, since it cannot be made closer due to the physics of optics. I also recommend taking photographs in HEIF Max mode; 48MP photos are very detailed and weigh only 3-5MB. (I know Samsung can use 108mp but they look like crap). On the iPhone, the video quality in third-party applications such as Instagram and Tik Tok is much better, as well as in general the video quality is better and switching between camera modules while recording video is better.

On the fogging issue with Xiaomi phones, i could not replicate the issue at least with both my phones. I got back from the Tibetian mountains where the temperature is sub zero at night but 25C during the day. Never once i experience any fogging in my Xiaomi 13U & 14U lens for the last 2 weeks of my trip. The phones was just stored in a body pouch throughout the trip to keep the battery warm & not freeze out. I come from SEA country where humidity is very high all year round so the air inside the phones & UV filter adapter would have been heavily moist. Unless the phones managed to somehow equate out the moisture as i travel from the plane to my destination, I'm unsure.

Wow that portrait mode from Xiaomi!!! Android has better portrait mode I dunno why most tech reviewers tend to miss, that on Iphone portrait mode has a meter requirement for the bokeh effect to kick in and that sucks. Xiaomi takes this for all the back camera photography, Iphone takes the selfie and video(but not far from xiaomi). I'd still prefer the xiaomi overall hahaha Great review! New sub here!

I bought xiaomi 14 in March and I had some pb on lences with blur inside. I was so unhappy about it that I sent it back a bought iphone 13 mini instead and I am really happy with it (even if I used android since 2010 and it's my 1rst experience with iphone and ios)
