You hit something at the 37:00 mark that has really been on my mind lately. Living a normal life. It breaks my heart to hear young charismatic people (mostly women) be taught that if they aren't a prophet or healing people or fill in the blank then they are essentially wasting their life and a failure in God's eyes. I've seen this destroy people in my own life. They feel like being a stay at home mom is beneath them and they are not doing what they were "called" to do. They end up resenting their role's in the home.

@@kennethfraire8152 I'm in the same boat. My wife grew up in the charismatic church. Without telling on her too much, there is a sense that she feels like living a normal life (wife and mother) is not "fulfilling her destiny" and pleasing the Lord. Jesus came to take the burden off, and some of these churches are rushing to put it back on.

32:48: “…if it doesn’t come true it’s because it’s your fault.” This is the entire thesis, framework, and focus of these large non-denominational mega churches. They claim to have “vision” but the second you desire to be discipled by them and their “vision” there’s always an excuse as to why it’s “too familiar” to have personal relationships with a pastor or staff member. These people are totally lost and they need to be prayed for.

I love your channel and was just watching in my home office during work and while you were reading from Proverbs 28 and not 29 I was like WHOA! My husband and I have been really in prayer for our mothers. Mine is an alcoholic and his is addicted to drugs. They are both "professing" Christians but aren't grasping the faith part of our walk with Jesus. They are destroying themselves and everyone around them and there is no end in sight. Some of the verses in Chapter 28 were SO perfect, especially verse 13. My mother kept her drinking a secret for years but her life was just imploding and it seemed so strange to us on the outside. We've tried to be gracious and seasoned with salt when we speak to/with our mothers but we are currently not being spoken to by either one. It's not hard to keep judgement out of our hearts when we try, it's another thing to keep THEM from seeing us a judgmental. We are just left to praying and trusting God, amen! Anyway, I love when Steve said "I'm sorry. No wait, I'm not it's the Word of God." Just know I myself was very blessed by the happy confusion!!

My grandma died before Mike really made his public ascent, but she woke up every morning at 4 to watch Joyce Meyer, Joel osteen, etc. When she got sick, she was terrified to die before she had done enough. I do believe she was a born again believer, but doctrinally misled. She wouldn’t entertain conversation about heaven, all of her charismatic friends would talk to her about how she was definitely going to be healed. She worked her fingers to the bone, trying to be “enough” for Jesus. Never realizing that it only matters that He is enough. When she died, it rocked a lot of people’s faiths because they had built their houses on sinking sand. These sort of teachers wreck my heart because I know what pain they cause.

Oh Steve, that woo doggie was something. Not all Okies talk like that. I live in Tulsa where Mike Todd's Transformation Church is located. There are definitely a lot of people attending there.

I can't tolerate this guy; he's too energetic, too intense. Uggh...

I don’t mind energetic, the issue is that he’s a false ‘teacher’, teaching heresies.

At the Lutheran Church I used to attend, (LCMS), I don't remember the Pastor ever discussing whether or not we should have boring or exciting lives. It just never came up. We had a couple of Bible studies while I was there. One was on Isaiah and the other one concerned the Book of Revelation. I did not know that Lutherans didn't believe in the "Rapture," but I guess that's another story.....

At the end of 2019 we lost our Yorkie a couple days after Christmas and our cat 10 days later. Pet ownership is not for the weak.

Goodness - Todd needs loads of props to hide his inaptness at preaching the Gospel. Yet, the Apostle Paul preached the Gospel in a prison without any of these things. (Philippians 1:12-14) and people knew he was a Christian.

The Greek definition of the word Myth is: a tale or invented story that has nothing to do with reality, and is soley perceived as an invention of the figment of human imagination. This is like much of Michael Todd's preaching.
