You are a magician when it comes to jobs like this Steve. I'd be praying that everything works after I got it all hooked up but for you, it's just another job. Good job!

Great troubleshooting, Steve! Creative solution to make it work, Momma! I like how you stock pile parts. That stuff Is valuable, especially the old stuff! Throwing that stuff out is sin! Another great video 👍

good to see you make due with what you have (used) to help the customer save some $$, I bet most technicians would not do this and insist on new only, I can see why you get repeat business, you treat people well they will always call on you, Steve Lav is a REAL workin' man ya'll

Individual controls should be much easier to diagnose. Cost might be more but cost should not be the only determining factor. Love your work. Delivered heating oil back in the 70s along with emergency heater repairs at night time for the customers. Now have my own 27 year old WM boiler that is fun to maintain.

Nice job Steve. Much better to have those controls separate. Never even knew Honeywell made a combination protector relay/aquastat. Never seen one in my travels.....yet!

Is that what he means by "D controller"? Wouldn't a setup like this originally have had a stack switch? In stead of a cad cell?

@steven lavimoniere where would you set the low limit temp in a case where you have a zone that heats domestic water in a non fired holding tank?

Not 1st. I like oil burner vids for some reason. Never see them around my area. All NG or propane.

Hey man like your videos, quick question. My oil boiler fires on but my circulator pump only works when fire is on. Any thoughts?
@OnTheToolsWithSal6 жыл бұрын
Never ran into a combo control like that with the aquastat and burner safety all in one
@Fireship16 жыл бұрын
Sal A I’ve never seen one like that either. Never knew that Honeywell even made a combo control like that.

I have a similar control unit (not identical). What do those two red knobs do? Our boiler burns for a few minutes and then sleeps for a while, then burns for a few minutes... all the while we are waiting for hours for the house heat to reach the desired temperature. What do we need to do?

Why is it whenever your trying to do something the freekin phone explodes and its always some idiot who doesn't want to spend a dime and is just looking for instant free advice or a telemarketer. Last few years before I retired ( or was something with the court and me with that incident in the clock tower in center square, bad memory..) I left my phone in the truck with a message that I am currently in a consumers home and to leave a message and I'll get back to you when I get a chance.. if they can't wait until you get back to them then its no one you want to do business with anyway you won't make a dime..
