Do u write the price on the box of the parts? How do you remember what you paid so you can charge them accordingly? It's like a supply house on wheels. Lol.

Steve has many years on the busniess. He knows what to charge as he knows what the parts cost. I have 25 years running my own marine HVAC busniess. The small parts like capacitors, you have a base price, when you go to the supply house to get a certain part, I charge the list price not unless it is a good client or a very cool first timer, I will give them a discount. Attitude is everything with me. You treat me with respect you will get a great job and a very fair price. I show up and you treat me like a servant, you will get a great job but will pay dearly.

Na. Lower fan speed on AC for better humidity control

My understanding is the horsepower is the minimum a motor can put out, but it could output more. Some companies take advantage of this by saying the motor is smaller than it actually is. Makes the customer think they are being more efficiennt. But the motor still needs power to do work, that's where the amps are important to look at too.

Hi Steve, thermal overload in motor windings !!??
@KenKen-ui4ny
@KenKen-ui4ny Жыл бұрын
I believe what going on is. it spins when the start windings are engage, but when it switchs over to the run windings which has the issue. That where it fails and quits spinning.
@potatolew4495
@potatolew4495 Жыл бұрын
If it was the thermal overload he did the right thing by changing the motor. I would never wast my time changing a thermal overlaid in a motor that costs pocket change. I work on yacht systems, the only time I change a thermal overload is in a bow thruster motor. The average thruster motor I service is 1400.00. Worth changing a 175.00 switch.

My furnace motor was damaged during a power surge and the overload in the motor would kick the motor on and off just like this motor.

Love Steve's junk drawers, except it's not 'junk' at all! Yeah I'm heterosexual. yup! 😊 That's how I have to operate the spin cycle on my old clothes machine, push button with finger and spin start it by hand, stand there and wait. It sucks-- belt problem...
