I 100% agree with him. If one has a better way than my way of doing shit, I’m open minded and would tell them: “Man, that’s a great idea!” Why didn’t I think of that?”and pat them on the back for it. That’s the kind of guy I am and not afraid to admit it…..

Why do people think that switch turns off the power? Not just Steve, everyone on KZbin, I've seen many switches where the rocket scientist who wired it switched the neutral instead of the hot. That's great as long as no one touches anything grounded. I wouldn't bet my life on any switch cutting the hot leg.
@jblyon22 жыл бұрын
Steve is pretty good about verifying that power is off with his meter, he just doesn't always include it with the uploaded footage

They are called ISOLATION FLANGES in case you're wondering. As for the "pole turtle" commenting that they suck; its evident he has a steam system where he lays his head at night.
@williamcandee52672 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, Steve -- "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," applies here. Pulling out the whole housing could end up inducing other issues which you would then have to fix. The housing is just a housing; that motor unit does all the work. Nothing is "wasted" by just replacing the broken component. The circulator housing is in there just fine; on an old system like this, why risk borrowing more trouble?

You sound just like me…that’s how I changed bearing assemblies, circ/pump heads out. Those Taco cartridges cost the same as a whole new pump. Your better off like you said to purchase the whole thing. What’s the point of changing the whole pump out? Nothing goes wrong with pump housings except for flange leaks….

Hello Steve. Love your videos. I don't want to do anything to your B@lls but have a question. If I were to hear that noise is that a capacitor there that could cause that and if so is it replaceable. Just asking as I have watched your other videos where you replaced the capacitor on an A/C condensor. I heard what you were saying obout the difference in the bearings too. Just an honest question for myself. Thank you and keep up the videos. Love how you interact with your customers.
