I'd love to see 3rd party tunnel data. Every "innovative" rim shape I've seen tested that's drastically different from Zipp, HED, ENVE has been total trash. Maybe this is the first that's not but I doubt it

How is the price any different from the cheapest hub level Princetons? Or Roval CLX? Or Bora Ultra?I can’t see any difference. The Meilensteins are WAAAAAAAAAY more expensive than these.

What surprises me is that there was a hundreds of years of knowledge base as for aerodynamics, endless generations of carbon bicycle wheels. And then all of a sudden in 2023 they discover that this particular wheel shape provides aerodynamic benefits. Can they just take all of the money in the world and skip ahead to the ultimate aero shape rather than making us buying the new best thing every time?

Unfortunately it's how many huge companies work. They know the absolute & best results, but take their time producing such as they prefer the slow changes way to take off the consumer little by little. This way makes the owners of such companies much more profitable. It's all about the money & nothing at all about morals & principles. Look what's happened in the hype of bottom bracket shells over the past 20years & it's all been hyped marketing. Now more & more manufacturers are reverting back to what they knew didn't need changing in the first place...threaded bottom brackets.

The million dollar question is did they counter balance to offset the valve stem?????!!!!! I just don't understand why wheels don't come balanced its so so easy to do when making them.

Some valve stems are heavy like steel , some are light as with TPU tubes

Absolutely right. Unless you're racing at a high level, they're only fashion accessories. I've hand built wheels for 35years & give the facts to all my customers before they part with their hard earned money for such wheels & the likes.

Unless I simply missed it, I couldn't help but notice that neither the weight nor the price of these wheels was mentioned. Regardless, I was able to go to their website to obtain both. I already have $3000 ENVE's on my bike, but by today's standards they are yesterday's news. At my age, the days of investing in the latest and greatest are long past. But one can dream…

The finished trueness in the best handbuilt wheels should be down to the slight discrepancies of the actual carbon rim manufacturing finish & nothing to do with the skill of the wheelbuilder, aslong as the wheelbuilder is experienced & the top of his game. Those hubs are not their own brand but are another branding of which are used on many of the latest wheels coming out of China, available in std steel or ceramic bearings. Expensive wheels like these should be supplied with a number of spare spokes/nipples. The discrepancies on the measurements & weights are not good practice of any brand wheels, yet not uncommon by wheels suppliers past & current. Good & informative review but I can & do build better wheels for half the price. Beware of being ripped off from many brands.

Great comments. There's always been incorrect wheel details in a brands marketing and over priced RRP for all supposedly high brands. Many are made in the same mass produced industry as many unbranded ones of the same. Just like carbon frames most wheel rims are also manufactured by the same handful of carbon manufacturers in China. Only a very small percentage are manufactured in other countries.

@@chad206 I buy in the highests quality hubs, rims & spokes & so the customer has a plentyful choice after I've talked over in detail the customers wants & needs, the rider usage, weight, terrain used, rim or disc etc etc. I carry all spares for all wheels built & supply the customer with spare spokes with their wheels. I've been building wheels this way for 35+ years, including building for professionals.

As far as I know, this wheels are not made in China. Among the parts, the spoke is a Chinese product, but the hub is made in Taiwan and the rim, the most important part, is made in Korea. Final building process of wheel is also being done in Korea. Although it is unfamiliar with Korean bicycle parts, this brand is a Korean brand and the wheels are also Korean products.

Straight pull are not at all superior to J bend, they were initially used in the wheel market as it was faster to lace a wheel, then the same people put out blurb saying its the way forward & better than J bend. It is not, rightly said Larry.

If they are of an deep dish design then they will be crap in crosswind compared good old shallow rims. If u actually bike outside then these kind of wheels are crap for irl cycling.
