My local Walmart sells the walnut variants at like $389. Can’t beat it for a budget rifle. You can also get them as the Turqua or whatever through Four Peaks I think. They’re more expensive, but some come cerakoted and some with camo stocks. Only bad thing I’ve really heard about these 334s is they are prone to surface rust. Awesome video!

Great video and review. I have the Stevens 334 in a synthetic stock in 243. $535.plus tax. Canadian. Great shooting rifle will shoot sub MOA with the wright ammo. The barrel on mine is fully free floated some say they are not. The bolt on mine was a little sticky at first but after 3 or 4 boxes it has smoothed wright out. It has a very mushy 2 stage trigger that is not great and mine is set at 5.5 pounds. The adjustment screw is glued in and not user friendly to free up, some have been able to get it down to about 3.5 pounds. That is my only complaint about this rifle.

I would like to help you with a spelling error. There are at least 4 spellings with specific usages of the word wright. Your usage here is incorrect. Wright: A proper name, as in the Wright Brothers. Or a worker skilled in the art of building objects, usually wood used in conjunction, as in playwright, shipwright, wheelwright. Write: to form characters on a surface. As in writing a letter or comment. Rite: a ceremonial practice, act, or action. As in a rite of passage. Or a religious rite. Then there is the word you have confused here. Right: meaning correct. Good or proper. Straight. Relating to the right side of the body. Having an axis perpendicular to the base. A right angle. Being of healthy mind. Most favorable or desired on. Something to which someone has a just claim is their Right. The interest that someone has in a pice of property. Ex mineral rights. The two most common ways you will use the word rite are gonna almost always be (write) and (right). Right: meaning correct. As in, I bought the right ammo for my gun. And Write: meaning the written word. As in, I writing you a comment to help you. I hope this clears that up for you and you receive my comment well. Best wishes.

I did see a review that said the trigger was very bad. For what might be wrong with it. It is an attractive rifle with the wood checkered stock. Accuracy leaves a bit to be desired as well. Backfire had similar results. Those groups are good enough for hunting to 100 yards for sure. Anything more maybe not. I would prefer a Ruger American over that rifle on any given day. Even and Axis II as well. Something with a threaded barrel that isn't short would be the Ruger American Go Wild. Not a pretty wood stock but a better out of the box shooter in all aspects from trigger to smaller groups. If one wants a pretty rifle and don't care the groups are not great at longer distances than 100 yards and will shoot shorter ranges like in the woods this rifle may be just fine, but not for me my friend. It was quite similar to Backfires results on the same rifle. I do have many rifles, Rugers, Remingtons and Savages. Even some lever actions in Winchester and Marlin. Thanks for the honest review. It is always a blessing to get good honest reviews.

When I saw the ATA Turqua ( ATA is a Turkish company, and this is the first bolt action rifle that the Turks have produced. It comes with a 24 inch mid contour barrel in Australia ) it was love at first sight. All the boxes were ticked so what could go wrong? I originally wanted to use it for long range work but the reality was that I could not get it to shoot sub MOA consistently, in fact 1.5 MOA was the best it could do. The other issue was that the bolt whilst being super smooth with tight tolerances had an intermittent problem where it would clash somewhere in the action and you would have to "double pump" to get it into battery. After testing factory and handloads I gave up and sold it back to the store I bought it from. The fit and finish were superb, the woodwork was outstanding and the bolt was really slick. However all the Howas that I have ever owned including the 223 mini action and my clapped out old 30 - 06 outshoot it, all day long. Subsequently I purchased an Artech Prima XP pump in 308 ( Also Turkish ) and again loved it, until it proved to be a hose with serious extraction problems! Again I disposed of it back to the store I purchased it from. So I got bitten twice by the proverbial Turkish dog and will NEVER buy another Turkish rifle ever again! Looks were definitely deceiving! That was my experience and take from it what you will, I don't hate Turkey like some Guntubers and have no agenda in fact I have 2 Turkish shotguns that I love! But as far as their rifles are concerned NO DICE!

I have one of these in 243. It's not well balanced and the factory trigger just plain sucks. However, a little trigger work and it will place five shots touching at 100 yards with my handloads. This gun might make a believer out of people who express disdain about Turkish guns. I will also write that the general quality, fit, and finish are well below that of a Remington 700 or a Winchester 70. Still, it closely mirrors a Mossberg Patriot rifle in those categories. If Timney or Rifle Basix ever make a trigger for this rifle, I will be the first in line to purchase. It will never be my go-to rifle, but shooting it is fun.
