The action I'm using was made between 1889 and 1894, don't know the exact year. Nobody seems to understand the serial numbers on these guns. Most people that sell them don't know enough to identify which model is which.

Remember, it's not so much about the length of the shank but the diameter,, and how well you work it.

Too bad the barrel diameter is too large for the lathe . You could have done most of the work on the lathe and got the shank diameter perfect .
