Well please update us honestly update us on your lease. Please tell us how it’s such a great idea to lease. Please we all wanna know from someone with less than 2 months experience telling us how smart the lease is. Please let us know how it makes more since than let’s say just buying a truck. Note (personal opinion)don’t buy (or lease) a truck unless u have experience in the industry where you can feel confident. Stevens will make u feel confident but know they are scamming u.

Hey man I like your content !! Can you make a video the cdl test I'm a bit confused about it ( what to study and what to expect)

Lol how was that $0.12/gal? Been a contractor for a while, and I wish that were the case.
@TruckerDudeBrent3 жыл бұрын
High mpg with the miles, plus spending the right amount on fuel gave me .12 cents per working mile. After all the math this is what stevens tells you your average cost per mile is. If it's low then they essentially pay you to fuel your truck

Another thing that will help you save money is to live in a state that doesnt have income tax. Saves you 15-20% in taxes.

Ahh the biggest scam in the trucking industry the lease. Please do the math you could just buy a truck for what your paying. Good ol Stevens good at brainwashing. Everyone pay close attention. Videos will go from saying how good lease is, to defending lease, to then in now working at such and such instead... brother I wish u the best but know you could be making better money as co driver anywhere else than Stevens...

Ik I can make more but I started here and want to satisfy my year before jumping any ship I've already put in 4 months not long now.
@Ki046303 жыл бұрын
@@TruckerDudeBrent well why are you signing a lease. yea it’s walk away but read all the fine print. i worked at Stevens a year, I know people who got screwed over by those leases (full disclosure I did not sign one because basic math tells me it’s a bad idea, let alone to deal with that stress) anyways what I can tell you is my biggest mistake is staying there a year. Stay these 2 more months you will have so many options. Easily be making 55 cents co driver practical miles. Despite what Stevens told ya they are pretty much the only one doing zip code miles.
@AJTrucker3 жыл бұрын
I’ll give you an advice! Be in Stevens just for your experience, not for the money, because you won’t make money with them. Get the experience, be there the year you have to and leaveee!!! There’s a ton of good companies that pay a lot better, will care about you and have better home time. Please take this advice, I know what I’m telling you!!!

Congratulations on your lease. You will soon realize you will need a trainee to make money and make your weekly truck payment. Good luck

Good thing it's a walk away lease
@frankluna41783 жыл бұрын
Yes I’m not discouraging you on your job, I am still at Stevens. I figured out with the help of my trainer that the lease is designed for two a student and trainer to make it work and make more money. Trainers struggle to make their truck payment “solo”, you need a student to drive the extra 300-400 miles that’s where you cash in. Good stuff keep it rollin

I only paid 3,200 in taxes last year as a contractor.. that's really not bad for what your gonna be making.. I saved 16 Grand in 8 months and only paid 3200 in taxes.. that's damn good bro.

nothing is free, all companies take money off the top, they have to pay for all personal and health insurance for there employees, and did they tell you FUEL SURCHARGE IS INCOME, SAYS THE IRS, good luck, add all your FIXED COSTS, this is your cost per mile to operate the truck, plus fuel, and what no one add's is ( your income ) 40 or 50 cents per mile add that to your fixed costs, operate the truck .90 to 1 dollar per mile plus you now where at 1.50 per mile low end, again good luck

Good luck brother. I think you're doing the right thing. A lot of people learn faster and better when they are thrown to the wolves. Well, you just did that to yourself and I think it's probably the best thing. Some people take longer to absorb but you're a definite go-getter and you have the incentives and aggressive personality.

Hope you ain't leave yet.. leave on Monday.. it's better... For your free week.. if you leave on a Monday you don't have to scan in till the following Wednesday technically.. that's 9days... my 1st check when I did that was 2800 .. that was my free week

Fueling is everything here. Just remember DO NOT let them keep you in high fuel price area's. And do not let them dispatch you 300+ mile deadhead where the shipper isn't going to pay your surcharge. And most imporantly, if you are going to do this, you must run 8-9 1/2 hour days to avoid a reset if possible. Sometimes it can't be helped cause of a load but you have to run constantly. Good luck man, i hope you make it. Also can confirm your first check is going to be massive, especially if you hit 3k miles. I got 3k miles on my first check and it was like 3k+
@TruckerDudeBrent3 жыл бұрын
That's gonna be lit af I really want to make the most of this and work my ass off if I'm not at home I want to be running

Did you get that pizza off the truck in the yard? I've been scared to chance it. Also, I've seen you a couple of times but decided not to bother you as I'm sure many have. I'm considering doing a KZbin video of my experience too, but I'm camera shy. I'm still at the Motel waiting for a trainer. She'll be picking me up on Saturday, I finished orientation last Wednesday so not too bad of a wait even with the female only request.
@TruckerDudeBrent3 жыл бұрын
I tried Mario's pizza, it was good but not good enough for me to go back, for the price of that little pizza you get a much bigger one from dominoes or papa John's lol and I wouldn't have minded u coming up, I've had quite a few people come up, I think it's cool lol

Oh cool. Well maybe I'll see you around again and I won't be too shy. Thanks for the videos. Keep em coming. I'm right behind ya

Explain how alliance is better than let’s say buying a truck... a 3 yr lease with alliance you are more than paying for that truck and then some... but one could finance the truck and actually own the truck. Please I’m curious to know
@mikenoack99973 жыл бұрын
@@Ki04630 I never said alliance is better... so I can't answer that question... other than saying alliance is the perfect program to learn what it takes to own a truck... and I would know because I started alliance and now own multiple trucks... you gotta start somewhere

All of your videos are spot-on with your experiences and it sounds like you're just destined for success in trucking. Probably the best decision you made in your entire life.
