You’re attitude towards addiction is so important, bc a lot of us who’ve had these experienced obviously feel shame and embarrassment the same as you, but not a lot of people so openly show the clips of exactly what they did, and you being so open about that and keeping them and clearly watching them a million times yourself surely had a big part in your sobriety. It’s a double edged sword as an addict, because I know you probably wouldn’t like to admit this and maybe you really don’t feel this way, but I know when I see a video of me in like high school on Xanax the first feeling before even embarrassment is usually “damn I miss that” not because of what I was doing or saying necessarily, I was having a hard time taking off my jacket and shit like that it was funny to watch, but It’s hard for your brain not to go “damn I was acting like that because I felt so fucked up and content that I didn’t care what I was doing” and it’s easy to miss that feeling but it isn’t worth the bad times. Not only did my addiction ruin a relationship I still regret, but the last time I relapsed with my last girlfriend I was withdrawing on other drugs so it was horrible the Xanax didn’t even make me feel good, I just felt insanely bad and depressed but I was more emotional and irrational. Then in the middle of that night I literally shit the bed, I never once have shit my pants besides being like 4 in the mall one time that’s all I ever remember. I cannot BEGIN TO TELL YOU THE EMBARRASSMENT OF BEING WOKEN UP BY YOUR GIRLFRIEND ASKING WHY IT SMELLS LIKE SHIT, THEN WHEN YOU TAKE A SHOWER AND SHIT AND COME BACK SHES LIKE “oh it’s okay I cleaned it up” bro we aren’t together now that story is gonna be her grossest experience forever probably.

Dear Steve-O. Let me start by saying I have always been a huge fan, particularly of Wild Boyz and your animal activism. My elderly chihuahua has been extremely sick over the last week. We have been worried about leaving her alone at night, so I've been staying awake nearly every night for the last few days. I started watching your videos two nights ago to help me stay awake to be with her. She only grew sicker and her health deteriorated. I continued to watch your videos to help me work through the sadness of potentially losing her. Unfortunately, we had to put her down today(6/18/2020). I have never felt pain like this before in my life. Your videos have helped me so much in the last few days I can't even explain. Watching you and Wendy brought us both so much joy. You've helped me at one of the lowest points of my entire life. I can't thank you enough. I wish I had some kind of contact info so I could thank you more personally. Hopefully you see this comment. Thank you Steve-O. Bryan Purdy.
