It’s so funny how as a viewer it’s almost impossible to get that “second hand embarrassment feeling” when someone is presenting these things in a such a confident and candid way. Like “hey this was me, this is where I am now take it or leave it”. I think it speaks to how much second hand embarrassment is really just over empathizing - feeling the other persons perceived shame as your own (and reliving our past actions that we perceive as shameful that are similar). Seeing steve-o own his shit helps us all see that doing something “shameful” in your past doesn’t define you as a “shameful” person. Don't feel bad or feel embarrassed of getting older. Stop being self conscious! You're Stevo-O. Everyone knows you, whether they like you or not. They've heard of you. EVERYBODY has a past man, I used to be a drug addict and got clean in 2016 and I'm not getting any younger, nobody is! Like you said, you're lucky to be alive. You've done some crazy shit. There's a shit ton you can do, at a Doctors office to make your self-esteem better, but who even cares. You have a girl that loves you just the way you are. Even making these videos, when you don't owe anyone shit, not one explanation, shows your bravery all around!

Old Steve-O is such an inspiration. He really has turned his life around, his lack of fear leads him to open up about things that all people struggle with but are always too "afraid" to talk about. We are blessed to have Steve'O now. We also have endless moments on tape that we can look back at in memory & honestly gratitude for the change of uncle Steve'O 🖤🖤🖤☠️
