The fact he says "I'm embarrassed to admit what a douche I am on those tapes-- yeah I was a drug addict but that's no excuse." Shows extreme maturity and growth that's inspiring to see. He could've just dismissed his actions on drugs but instead he owns up to them and tries to be better. Mad respect

One of the most important things I think I can teach my son (outside of faith in God) is the measure of a man is not how many times he messes up or how many mistakes he makes but what he does about it. Steve-o, if this gets back to you, I have a tremendous amount of respect for you setting a great example for my son of this. Your ability to be vulnerable about insecurities and past mistakes is phenomenal. I really appreciate the journey it took to get off drugs and to heal and to recognize your faults and make an effort to change.

SteveO, the fact you admit your failures only makes you cooler. It's like a psychological version of a Jackass stunt, where instead of taking a baseball to the nuts, or whatnot, you have to admit what your ashamed of publicly...and i'm not sure which one is more painful. It’s so funny how as a viewer it’s almost impossible to get that “second hand embarrassment feeling” when someone is presenting these things in a such a confident and candid way. Like “hey this was me, this is where I am now take it or leave it”. I think it speaks to how much second hand embarrassment is really just over empathizing - feeling the other persons perceived shame as your own (and reliving our past actions that we perceive as shameful that are similar). Seeing steve-o own his shit helps us all see that doing something “shameful” in your past doesn’t define you as a “shameful” person. We can fuck up and it doesn’t have to define us or destroy our self worth. Thank you for this!!

EVERYBODY has a past man, I used to be a drug addict and got clean in 2016 and I'm not getting any younger, nobody is! Like you said, you're lucky to be alive. You've done some crazy shit. There's a shit ton you can do, at a Doctors office to make your self-esteem better, but who even cares. You have a girl that loves you just the way you are. Idk. But getting roasted by Beavis and Butthead... I'll consider that a life achievement....

It's funny, I was thinking if the original Beavis and Butt-Head episodes had lasted until at least the early 2000's, they would have loved Jackass (they SHOULD have done at least a couple of Jackass clips in the 2011 season, since they did roast other MTV shows at the time, but maybe Jackass wasn't rerunning that year, idk). I actually had no idea, until now, that Mike Judge made a video just to have them roast Steve-O's music video lol.

I love your podcasts. I think it would do any celebrity big or small Justice to be on one of your podcasts. You listen very well and you get to know the people you are interviewing thoroughly and it gives that person total freedom on a platform without bias. I've seen a few of your podcasts already and you are killing it!! Well done!
