One of the most important things I think I can teach my son (outside of faith in God) is the measure of a man is not how many times he messes up or how many mistakes he makes but what he does about it. Steve-o, if this gets back to you, I have a tremendous amount of respect for you setting a great example for my son of this. Your ability to be vulnerable about insecurities and past mistakes is phenomenal. I really appreciate the journey it took to get off drugs and to heal and to recognize your faults and make an effort to change.

I kicked a 15 year coke habit because it took that long before I was able to affectively remind myself of the consequences and how humiliating and sick it would make me every time I did it and it finally overriding the urge.
