THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! Comment below if you love abandoned homes! Let's get this video to over 10,000 thumbs up! Like and share! Happy new year!!! I found the history of the place. I wish I had known this before the explore. The home was owned by a family The daughter Kristi passed away The mother passed away in 2011 And then the father passed away in 2015 from a fire fight incident. The 2nd home is where his wife and kids lived The place has been abandoned since there's no family left to take care of the place. Sad history, I really wish I had known about this sooner. Sorry guys...I will do better research next time but I explore in the moment and sometimes I won't know random places first hand. NEW HOODIES FOR MY CLOTHING LINE DROPPING NEXT MONTH!

We abandoned our home after my father passed. It was very sudden and unexpected. We couldn't stay, it was too painful. When we left, we just took important papers, photos and a few personal items and moved to another state. The pain of loss is very great and usually people leave everything behind because of the sadness and pain.

The thing you picked up on the couch was actually a pillow case that military wives used to collect and trade with other wives when they changed bases. I have some of my grandma's from the early 40's and early 50's. The goal was to have one from every military base of whatever military branch the husband's were in, kinda bragging rights for the wives and lighten the spirit's during the war or when the husband's were away for missions etc.

Well said. I learned in my life exactly what you did. Live life as if it is your last. My Mom, Dad and my seven siblings have all passed on. My last brother passed in Nov 2020. The only thing I have of them are my memories and a few photographs which is all I need to keep my family close to my heart. Thanks for this comment, Couch Potato from this 79 year old woman who was called Pecky Poo, all my life by my family.

The green bowl in the first cabinet has a value of about $60. The ceramic Christmas tree on the cabinet beside the desk has a vale of $50 to $75. There are other figurines in the house in that cabinet that are highly collectible.

Donna Showman: I have both of these items mentioned, sorry you estimated a low cost, for both items. I looked them up to see what they really sell for. I am not trying be mean to you, really I'm not. I looked them up coz I was curious of how much they really go for, since mine were given to me. 1.) Rare 1940s-1950s Turquois Treasure Craft 12" Mixing/Fruit ceramic bowl....$165.00 to $200.00, depending on condition. For the three nesting bowl set which is even harder to find expect to pay around $495.00-$595.00, I have the three nesting bowl set, because they were willed to me by my Grand Momma. Mine are in excellent condition, no chips or deep chafing marks at all, and I use them on holidays now, but when my children were growing up I used them almost every day. My 17 year old, Grand Daughter loves vintage and antique things, so she will get them when I pass on. 2.) 1960s-1970s Vintage Green Ceramic Christmas Tree, working star base, 13.5" ....$79.00-$99.99 Depending on condition. Mine came from my husband's Grand Mother, and has a few scratches, but still work like the day she bought it. My first born Grand Son will get this when I pass on. He has loved this little Christmas tree ever since he could reach his hands up to hold it, about two years old. He is now 15 years old. I have many antique Tea Cups and Teapots worth plenty, they came from my Great Aunt May, antique shops and more. Trust me you have not arrived until you walk into the living room to hear your four Grand Children, one Six years old (girl) and three four year old's (boy and girl born six months apart, and a boy born three months later) discussing who will get which cup and or teapot when Mei~Mie passes on. The first four Grand Children are now 17 yrs, 15 yrs, 15 yrs. and the youngest Grand Son just turned 15 last month. Seems they grew up so fast. Now my youngest Grand Daughter just turned 6 yrs old. Please have a nice rest of the evening.

So how many picked up the bread crumbs and figured out the story? For inquiring minds...the home was owned by Jason’s Great grandfather and passed on to his grandfather. They had their own businesses that passed down through generations. Sadly Jason passed away at the young age of 38 with his best friend rescuing people from a fire. He was living across the street from his estranged wife and their two daughter, one of whom was Ashley, in his grandfathers home. His ex wife and daughters relocated to Florida a few years after Jason’s death. While his grandfather does appear to still be alive, he is elderly and living in a nursing home. That’s as far as I got so far, but may explain why the homes are now abandoned. Just watch the video, all the clues are there to do your own research.

At 15:28 that item is what is called a "Sweetheart Pillowcase". During a period of time early 1900's to 1950's they were popular items for military personnel to buy for their "Sweethearts" to sent home to remember them by. This would typically be their wife, mother, sister or girlfriend. They are collectors items now. My late father in law had a huge military collection, bayonets, military patches, etc. including over 200 of these pillowcases. There is also a line of costume jewelry called "Sweetheart jewelry" which I now collect and have several pillowcases to remember him by. The jewelry line includes pins, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, ect. They also have compacts and ladies hankies! Now you know more than you ever wanted to know about military Sweetheart collectables! They are easily found on Ebay and antique stores..

Take this from a collector, it depends on the items. Just because its attached to a famous person, doesn't actually mean its worth something. A lot of fans bought up Elvis albums, and cassettes, and they're found in thrift stores, so they can be easily found and bought. In terms of pictures, or autographs, the former depends on the context and nature of the pictures, if its from a magazine it won't be worth anything however, his signature can go for up to 1400 to 1600; so long as its not forged or printed on the item.

That was a reel to reel tape recorder/player, not a record player. I used to have one back in the 70's. It's General Electric aka GE. Guns would be long gone if there were any when they left. I had an original Elvis' first Christmas album that was in excellent shape. It was my dad's who bought it when it came out. I gave it to my brother since he's the big Elvis fan in our family. Ya need to settle down and take a deep breath when you get freaked out. And yes you shouldn't go alone. Glad you still managed to finish the explore.

Why don’t the “ loving” family just sell the house with everything in it if they can’t be bothered taking care of the house or the stuff? I don’t understand that. It’s should be criminal to just abandon houses and personal belongings like this

The person named Jason referenced here and there in the video ("RIP Jason" written on the door etc.) apparently died aged 38 in a horrible tragedy, the Station nightclub fire in Rhode Island in 2003 which killed a hundred people. He was the son of the old guy who also lived there. He and a friend died trying to rescue others. His daughter was the "Ashley" in the baby photo. She, her sister and Jason's ex lived across the street and apparently he was staying there in the now-abandoned home with his father. After his death the father went into a nursing home at some point and his ex and daughters moved out of state. Apparently the father is still alive, but obviously he's in no shape to deal with the place. I'm guessing Jason's daughters can't bear to go through it--too many heartbreaking memories. Can't say I blame them.

Cool house u found here. It's great to be able to see a little into this man's life. That picture of Clint Eastwood is from the movie "Pail Rider" I do believe. I am thinking that the daughter was living there with here kids and he passed away and she moved out. There are things missing with a lot of bare spaces. I believe that she took things she wanted with here, just my thoughts. Still a great find!!!
