Great review. Only thing you didnt mention was their comfort and if they have more cushioning than normal air force 1s. Are they more comfortable than normal AF1s?
@StevenJabbori4 жыл бұрын
I found cushioning to feel more or less the same than a typical air force one. Because they are heavier and so high cut they feel a little more restrictive. Not a bad thing necessarily but it definitely feels closer to a pair of timberland boots than it does Air Force ones
@Lol_A_Frog4 жыл бұрын
@@StevenJabbori Thanks for this comment. I absolutely hate timberland boots so glad you commented before I copped a pair and regretted it. Timberland boots have zero flexibility so I feel like donald duck trying to walk. They also have next to no padding on the inside.
@StevenJabbori4 жыл бұрын
I feel like I should clarify that the upper feels more like a timberland boot than the sole. The midsole still has Nike cushioning in it. I love the black pair of timbs I have and I know not all timbs are created equal so if I were you I would try a nicer pair of timbs before writing them off completely. Also look into red wing boots. 👌🏽

Is it a lot heavier than a jordan 1? Is it a lot more comfortable / cushioned? I didn't find AJ1's all that comfortable to be honest but AF1 seemed alright.

I tried on the Wheat Mids yesterday and they were really good in an 8.5. The Black/Gum Luxe Lows felt a bit tighter on width due to a bunion on one foot. How much do these shoes break in on width? Is it good to buy them a little tight? On the 9 size I could fit 2 fingers down the back of my heel so I thought they were a bit big. They felt comfortable width wise out of the box but I wouldn't want them getting any bigger. I think the 9s feel ok snug only if I lace them tight? What the sizing on these compared to other AF1s? I feel the 8.5 could be perfect is they give a little and the 9s would be too big if they give a little. Also the Luxe felt pretty heavy on foot compared to the wheat mids. I'm guessing the high GTX feel way heavier than the Luxe?
@StevenJabbori3 жыл бұрын
@@MadelnMachines For me, I plan on wearing wool socks with mine so a little bit of room is ok. I don't see them getting wider when broken in. Because I'm also wearing these for warmth and durability and not performance, I like the more comfort instead of a snug fit.

Did you get to test them out and see how the upper holds up?
