Uppers are just standard leather. The gore tex element is actually on the inside, so the water-pour test isn't really showing something different than if you poured over a standard AF1.

They seem to be coated with a water repellent since water doesn't stay on them but yeah what's with these people and lame waterproof tests. Just sink half of the shoe in a bowl of water for a few minutes and see if the inside gets wet. It's not rocket science.

Wish you was able to check the traction on these. I have yet to find a Nike winter/ waterproof sneaker boot with good traction besides the airmax 95 boots (which takes forever to return). SF and duck boots are horrible on wet/ slick (icy) surfaces.

Definitely interested, however the problem i usually have with Nike Duckboots is the traction. I live in Chicago and Nike Duckboots have no type of traction on wet surfaces, and its literally like wearing ice skates when you walk on ice. Have you had a chance to check the traction? Very curious to know if they improved it

Traction is immense, super chunky. Only problem is they pick up stones a lot!

@@kennedylareign I did, and again, the traction is not good for icy pavement or really packed snow. I would suggest Adidas Terrex boots, much better traction! Or even some good Timberland snow boots!

I used to own the sb dunk boots, they were really awesome even if they weren't water resistant. These remind me of those boots. Ah nostalgia ❤️ i gave looked for alternatives on this channel, but the only ones that reminded me the most of those dunks were the Adidas terrex free hiker. I don't live walking in the rain, but i almost went to just so i would wear those free hikers. Thank you for that. I also wear some UB guards on the rain was well. I'm just mentioning rain because that's all we get there in southern California, besides sunshine

Great video; thanks for the quick review! Have you looked into the ACG Mountain Fly? Hope you can review those for your video on waterproof shoes. I may be sold on those (waiting for them to come in), because it looks like they're a near-hybrid of the Gore-Tex Pegasus and AF1s that may be crossfunctional with hiking/outdoor adventuring AND handling bad weather conditions. It's a sneakerboot with full-length React WITH the Vaporfly's carbon fiber plate for rock and stone protection, I believe. The downsides could be sizing (been hearing mixed reviews on fit) and price ($220 USD). Unfortunately, it's low on sizes on Nike's site, but it's available at boutiques and Jimmy Jazz.

i think i prefer the normal foretex AF1s low or the standard wheat AF1s as these are super fresh no doubt but the lugs would be slippery and the midsole would make me look like i have clown feet

I got my pair of nike airforce 1 gtx and I love them,,, I haven't been able to wear them in the winter, but so far I use it for the spring rainy days and my feet were warm and dry... I'm also looking to buy the duck boots but I've hear they don't have as much grip as the gtx ones... I'll come back in the winter with an update

Interested! I'm going on my second pair. Donning the most recent pair[Black/black transparent speckled sole]. I work a super physical job. My feet never hurt. Just the rest of my body🤣. Love these boots. Thinking about poking holes in the toe box Fasad dimples. I work inside so don't really need full water proof but more ventilation. Cause they get funky fast. 5 hrs a night loading for UPS🥵
