VTEC Mini Ep 9 - The REVEAL

We have rear flares! They are finicky arches, considering that we need to trim, fit, vinyl wrap, and paint them all in one night. But getting the rear arches installed checks off the last item on the to-do list. Time to show the car.

Well done! I've had mixed feelings about the J-spec engine swaps, even after watching Moog's version but I must say y'all did a fantastic job. Living out here in Japan my buddies back in the States are pushing me to do the swap as well but I think I'll hold off for a while. I'm equally impressed by y'all's attention to aesthetics. Being an architect means I really like things to be functional AND pretty. I think y'all successfully melded the two. Also, Mike is a lucky fella!

I remember reading last year he sold "everything" and got a Classic Mini . Which really isnt the best vehicle for mountain bike duty... With the coilovers and different suspension arms with this particular subframe, it feels very different. Powering out of a corner takes a steady foot and a whole lot of courage.

It is amaizing rebuild project.. can i know about the exhaust system from manifold to exit.. because my car's silencer have two cans .. one is in the midle .it is too closer to road and other part is 4in 1 manifold bend. These parts caress the road..it is really headache .. please can i see your exhaust system ..😕

Very nice job, dude! I built a 250bhp Vauxhall twin cam 2.0l 1970 back in 2002. It was refinished in BL Aqua... shocked a lot of motorbikes!! Was featured in MiniWorld & Retro Cars here in the UK. I put it back on to 10" wheels & it was much less twitchy!

It most certainly was, my friend! The impression of speed was so.ewhat dampened by the fact that the Sparco Evo 2 seats were mounted 1" above the floor pan & behind the seat x-member... I could just see the tip of the drivers wing! I'm a long legged guy, you see! I looked out of the rear quarter windows & not the doors! If I had been sat in the original position, I do t think I could have driven it quite so hard!!
