I had to fake a guitar solo for a comercial once, it was for a blues event and i ofered to play a fast blues scale (since i can kinda play) but they did not let me. At least i had the decency of staying on the same area of the fingerboard as the real solo, i even fooled some real musicians. True that! I hate it when people handle firearms in shows/movies and all these cocking/charging sounds are heard, yet the person manipulating the weapon isn't doing anything to it at all. Or when the protagonist/antagonist charges the weapon to show that he/she is serious, yet the action doesn't cycle a round.

Silencers... They make guns slund like a mouse's fart in movies when most silenced guns are around 130 dB in real life (the most egregious example is James Bond muffling his gun with a pillow). Magazines that seem to never run out of ammo (most Assault rifles shoot 600-900 rounds per minute.. which means you empty a mag on full auto in less than 3 seconds, yet you will see sustained fire from an AK without a mag change). Bullet-proof vests and their magic stopping Power (Doc is dead in Back to the Future... 1) he at least has broken ribs and heart contusions even IF there was soft body armor that could handle 7.62x39 in 1985, and 2) being sprayed with automatic fire, there are going to be hits to areas outside the vest area). The whole gun cocking thing as mentioned above. And Don't get me started on historical inaccuracies...

Well, to be fair, for a non-musician simply moving your fingers rapidly in time with the notes looks pretty realistic because they have no idea what the actual finger shapes should be.
