You simply must get some Tajin!! There is no substitute for it. It goes great with so many things- french fries, salads, and indeed, on/in cocktails to name just a few. I buy it in 14 oz bottles and can go through one in a couple months. It's the specific combination of salt, lime, and chili that makes it so yummy! It imparts a flavor that you've unfortunately missed in this otherwise superb cocktail.

Congratulations Steve. Next stop 1M subs. Now to my actual question. Can I substitute Aperol for Cappelletti? I got a whole bottle of Cappelletti that I use for my Negroni recipe that never ends. Anyways, congrats Mate and keep it up.

Funny, I find this one after I commented on your Aperol Spritz vid that I had just made a version with tequila. Shot of: Aperol, tequila, Mexican orange liqueur (but 43 might be better/sweeter), orange bitters, top off with lime Topo Chico. Delicious! Recently had a shot of Herradura cristalino, smooth as *heck*, creamy, with strong chocolate notes. Will be buying as soon as I find it! Cheers from Indiana!

One such variation is made with 2 parts liquor 43, 2 parts hot blueberry soup and 1 part lightly whipped cream. It is of course served layered and with the 43 on the bottom. At any rate, I'm looking forward to the upcoming vids! Stay awesome stay safe 😊

The BF and I made this, but we live in super-rural US and had to sub Disaronno for the Orgeat. Not bad, though the Tajin didn't contribute much. Then we tried the Part-Time Lover with the Elderflower. Less enthused with that one. First time encountering elderflower. Then our brilliant asses said, "Hey! Let's try our weekly margaritas but sub the elderflower for the triple sec." And it was gross. So kudos for this being the high point of Friday night.

Ta-jin = Ta-heeeeeen- consisting of ground chilli peppers, sea salt, and dehydrated lime juice. It is the #1 chili lime seasoning in the U.S. today Gives a little kick to your usual salted rim. I'm wondering if this cocktail is similar to a Paloma in taste (?) A Paloma is= squirt (or grapefruit soda), tequila, fresh lime juice, salted rim- on ice. Super refreshing, great for summertime. :)

Hi Steve! Here's a suggestion for your app: if you think a cocktail, despite being typically made in a certain way, could be also made by switching one or more spirits, you could let the folks know!
