Steve said, "If you want a man to find you". Let the man find you. Raise your children, go to school, enhance your career, learn a foreign language volunteer, and your SUITABLE mate will find you. You don't go to church to find a man because the man that you need who already love you unconditionally is already there. Notice how many times he said he will find you.

If you say no good man is in this town and someone comes along from another town, don’t make excuses because where he lives at might be a good woman and you end up missing out.

Later that day, I logged onto a dating site, and her profile just popped open on my screen before I clicked anything. It’s an odd story, but now we’re engaged. 😂

In the Bible, it's kinda Ruth that found Boaz though... if we read it right
@tcalvin41963 жыл бұрын
@@hiwagusu Little girl you are missing the point about waiting for your Boaz. YOU read the WHOLE story again for YOURSELF. It is about the love Ruth had for her Mother-in-law that attracted Boaz to Ruth. HE saw her in the field FIRST. She didn't go running after him or no other man after she lost her husband and she was not looking and tramping around for a man either. She was dedicated and loyal to her dear Mother-in-law and it was what caught Boaz attention.
@hiwagusu3 жыл бұрын
@@tcalvin4196 I'm not reading the story for myself but as it is. I don't want to be a Ruth nor to find a Boaz. And when he noticed her, it was not in a love at first sight way. Even if we use that logic in that sense, in Ruth 2:2, she went there in order to find favor in his eyes. At that time the guy didn't know she existed. He did show generosity as Ruth was an immigrant. Then Ruth talked about Boaz to Naomi. Naomi told her to, you know, dress well and make it clear she was available. And Ruth went to Boaz as he was asleep and DRUNK ???? (Chapter 3:1-8). And in Ruth 3:9, she tells him that he's a redeemer, almost basically asking him to marry her, because back in the day, if there was no man in the house, you were kinda doomed to hunger and poverty. I mean the history context here. Let's just not say "Oh wait for your BOAZ and just pray , the guy will find you". When that's not even what happened. Plus the girl, Ruth, was a grieving woman that stayed by the side of her mother-in-law. She was not a young women in her 20s starting to have a desire for partnership. So using the Boaz story to a lady that is IN A COMPLETE different context than Ruth and be like "just pray for your Boaz". I mean, it's quite being careless, lacking understanding and loveq and hypocritical. In my opinion.

I'm coming to turns with the fact that there is no perfect place to find a good person even in church if you're a Christian. 1) there aren't many men in church to begin with and 2) many of them are not ready to settle down and be serious. You can meet someone anywhere it is harder to find someone who has the same religious beliefs and actively pracisicng it but it is possible. I find its better to just keep your eyes on God rather than be desperate where you might find yourself settling just for the sake of saying you have someone.

You be as real about yourself and the other person as you can possibly be, don't see only what you want to see, but try to see it for what it is 4. Be proactive in reaching your relationship goals: be as attractive as you can, be kind, be real, be willing to give unconditionally, work on your personality traits etc., be a good cook or contribute what is your capability 5. Be ready to walk away if the relationship is not mutual/fulfilling and finally you'll find the person that wants the same as you

Unless you join a good paying dating site, it's getting harder and harder to find a good mate on dating sites honestly. As a guy, most women don't even respond when you message them. I don't care how nice, how communicative, or how gentlemen-like I am, they don't wanna respond unless you look like Bradley Cooper or Morris Chestnut. And I'm not talking about women who are clearly outta my league, I try them expecting not to get a response, not a big deal there, I'm talking about the girl that's just average looking and she knows good and well she's average looking but still won't respond to an average looking guy like me. I mention looks so much because that's what gets you in the door (inbox) once you break that ice, THAT's when you get into personality and shared interests.

MAN_ON_WHEELZ hey! I recently went on a dating site and sadly did the same thing. However, I messaged back this guy who wasn’t initially my type, he was a lot older and kind of shy. Morgan Nixon - See? You're one of the smart ones! You gave a regular guy a chance and he turned out to be a decent guy! Good for you for giving the guy a chance! I'm telling you, that's where it's at! Too many women think that because it's online dating, they can treat it like online shopping and get EXACTLY what they want. It don't work that way! We are humans, we come with flaws and differences, even with dating sites you have to accept your person lacking several things you want, and not put too much requirement on too many things. Only put "definite yes/no" on things that really matter in a relationship. Everything else needs to have some leeway.

Whoso finds a wife, finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord (Prov 18:22). Go to the House of God, for what it's there for. To praise and worship our Heavenly Father and to fellowship with the Saints of God. You can pray and talk to the Lord about your heart's desire while establishing a closer Faith Walk with Him. That's the most important thing!!! Wait on the Lord. People act like they can't live without having a man or woman in their lives, and they just broke up with an individual a month ago. While God is getting someone ready for you; you also need to be preparing yourself. Establish an unbreakable Relationship with the Lord, be the best mother or father you can be with the help of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, you won't be able to discern or not, if this is the person, God has for you. And don't get it twisted, everyone is not wanting or looking to get married. JESUS IS ENOUGH!!!

Great advice Steve. I'd like to add, both parties should leave atleast 2 pics of themselves. 1 full facial pic and a full body pic. No use wasting people's time posting pics that hide the real you. Your both going to see each other eventually.

In my best Steve Harvey voice :Stop going down dey to da church dehydrated!!!" Seek ye first the kingdom of God then take your behind down there to that well and get that water that never runs dry. If you take your mind off of the flesh, put your mind stayed on Jesus , He will give you the desires of all your hearts. (no typo, all your heart). Go visit some churches, go on a retreat, just get out of your comfort zone. The dating sites might be good to.

The problem with most single women who are single moms is that single men are not where they go, like Steve said! It’s harder for single mothers to get dates because they have baggage, they often can’t date because they have children! Children sort of get in the way of dating! She need to go where single dads go!

Preach Steve. You can find a good man anywhere and yes even church. But women think a man has to be taller, older, and live across the street to be the one. And bible says nothing about that.

I've met my husband through a dating site! Best move ever! Though I had to go through really good men in relationship, to jerks and everyone in between . His a hard working man that comes from a family church and now as married couple our #1 priority is Jesus! It was my main purpose since I was single. And it's been nice to have a husband that has the same believes as me.

Look here you don't have to go to church to find a man. Your Boaz will find you at the grocery store, walking across the street or wherever. The key is to stay in tune with who you are in Christ Jesus and believe me your Boaz will find you.

@lenitaa79383 жыл бұрын
What's your point? What are you implying? So, if you marry a man or a woman from your church, you are divorce-and-affair-proof? You do know there are religious dating sites, as well? Even on a regular dating site, you can state your religion and that you are looking for someone likeminded! Just be wise and get to know each other, don't be too trusting, ask questions and get to know his or her friends, colleagues, family, etc!! The Dating apps open up many more opportunities, that's all! Also, you will already know more from reading their profiles, likes and dislikes, intentions, etc, more than you would meeting someone in a neighborhood, etc!

I have done the dating online thing and for me personally I think it's a waste of time and it doesn't work. And also I'm not all that religious so meeting someone at church isn't going to happen because everyone at the church I go to is old and married and I'm not interested in no old man like that.
