Waiting a week for these episodes feels like forever! This show has really gripped my imagination and I find myself thinking about it often, it’s very haunting. Even having read the book, I’m on the edge of my metaphorical seat.

Hmm I’m considering the book because I have way too much questions. I was wondering does the book explain why there are boxes in the other alternative time lines ? And does it ever happen when all those in the box cross paths eventually ? Like there’s like 2 Laten in the box now, and now there’s that guy I forget his name who created the vial in the original Jason timeline I mean I know he doesn’t vials etc but since he is close in making it in his world I’m sure eventually he will perfect it and try to get back to his original timeline like the original Jason. I’m so curious and I’m sure we’re getting a season 2.

I know compared to the horrible things he’s done it’s not that huge but something about him using Amanda as a therapist made him seem like the biggest dirtbag on earth

In every world he finds a way to use Amanda to get what he wants. But I think Amanda is the smartest of them all. And probably the reason why our Jason can never find is his real home. Cuz subconsciously or consciously she doesnt't want him to. The Amanda we are following comes from a world where everyone is sinister and selfish and she's just better at hiding her sociopathy than Jason, Ryan and Leighton from her homeworld.

Reason the box they established in the 1st episode that it stays locked for 3 min…which makes me wonder how long Creator Jason waited before abandoning Ryan.. Creator Jason was more ‘merciful “ than I thought he would be I actually thought he was going to un alive Ryan on that other version of Chicago

@@Stress-Free-K that is an unbelievable stretch. Astronomically unbelievable. There is absolutely zero evidence to suggest she's a sociopath. Quite the opposite. She literally upended and risked her life to help Jason escape. What a ridiculous take.

@@BlitzinMackGaming Au contraire mon cher. Any therapist worth their salt would never be mixed up with Creator Jason and Leighton and training them how to travel btwn worlds. Especially since she knew Creator Jason quite well it seems. And had to teach him how to hold together his temper. But as we can see she only taught him how to mask his temper. Cuz with the slightest threat his first goto is to off world people he was quite close to in his home world. Amanda helped Jason 1 to escape because the gig was up. The police were circling and they don't need a body to start charging people with murder. And bodies keep going missing so Amanda took her chance with this Jason who seemed to have a much more rational state of mind. But ask yourself. Why does Jason keep getting so close but never gets it quite right? And why doesn't Amanda take the advice of her friend and find her own world rather than "selflessly" helping Jason 1? And don't you think Amanda wants Jason 1 for herself and would sleep with him if he would just give in? And wouldn't sleeping with Jason 1 just about assure that he never finds his homeworld cuz he'll always be racked with guilt after cheating?

@Stress-Free-K She would never train people to keep their heads when traveling between worlds? Why? You make it seem like she's training them to rob banks. She THOUGHT she knew Jason 2 quite well. Even said he's not a monster. She was shocked to find out he was responsible for kidnapping Jason 1. And as soon as she realized how evil the company she worked for was, she left. Why doesn't she take the advice of her friend? Gee, I don't know. Maybe because she's NOT a sociopath? Even if she did, it wouldn't make her a sociopath. It's completely normal for anyone to want to find a home. You would do the same thing, and I doubt you think you are a sociopath. And escaping with Jason was a far greater risk than staying in her world. Nothing you have said even comes close to proving she's a sociopath. I think you need to study up on what a sociopath is. And mentioning her having feelings for Jason 1 and that she would have sex with him as if that proves anything? Jason 1 almost gave in to having sex with her as well. Is he a sociopath too now? You are living in fantasy land, inventing things in your head that have no basis in reality.

Every episodes raises new questions for me… I think I might end up reading the book because I have a feeling there’s definitely going to be more seasons and it’s going to be forever for season 2. The show has good ratings already.

@@nashambenyisrael7689 no spoilers, but I did exactly what you’re thinking of doing - I read the book after the first few episodes. It’s a quick read …. almost too quick, imo …. and I feel like the show is actually an improvement on the book. But that’s just my opinion - there’s enough differences to make the book worth reading.

I think he definitely could get through the door. Sometimes we are limited by our perceptions of what we can do. I think he didn’t realize he could go back through the door. Maybe he thought it was a one-way thing. So his thoughts of what was possible were blocking him from getting back through the door

12:40 When the box is locked it takes 15mins to be reopened. I think they explained that in ep3....so maybe by 15mins the drug would have worn off thus y Ryan couldn't really get back to the corridor

Good question. Especially since they already established that you can't use money from other worlds in different worlds than they're from because of the serial numbers. Maybe they just did (probably using money that Evil Jason and his Leighton might have put on those backpacks as emergency use money) anyway knowing they'll only be there for a short time and by the time the money gets flagged as "counterfeit" they'd be long gone.

The spiritual aspects of the show are just hinted at like how people know the same people even though they have different jobs and lives as well as speaking deeply about relationships like how Ryan OR Jason can be super successful but not both. Favorite show of the year

If someone is already in the box, then someone else can't get in from the outside. We haven't been explicitly shown exactly why that is, but we have been shown that that is the case multiple times before the most recent episode. When the bad Jason left his world for the first time, they tried to stop him but couldn't get the door open. And when the good Jason and Amanda escaped bad Jason's world, the workers tried to get in the box but couldn't either.

In the scene you're referencing, its discussed that the door auto-locks and remains so for 3minutes (likely giving the person in the box time to superimpose without interruption).

Amandas character was already looking for Jason so its no surprise that she left her world to be with the better Jason version in her mind. Its what the Jason in world did too. He left for a better version of his life. Also Ryan may have tried to enter the box. Closing the door wasnt to lock him out. It was too separate them. Once Bad Jason exits the box, even if Ryan goes back in the box, hes still stranded. He wouldnt know how to get home.

This was definitely the best episode yet. And Daniela ... I love her. In every world she's just so well put together and successful. I don't think she'd ever find herself as a White Castle manager (which really is not the worst). Also, no matter what any of the Jason's tell her. She'll never believe them. I think Daniela will suspect creator Jason of killing Ryan and killing her own Jason and surmise that Creator Jason is her own Jason's twin.

She wouldn't end up managing pushing burgers no matter what world they walk into. While the Amanda archetype is a bit of a fraud / parasite with some dubious insights into human nature.

Agreed that the question is "What's in it for Amanda"? Could it be that showing in this world that Amanda has a family, and Jason of this world is happily married to Daniela, will our two do to this world's Jason and Amanda what the bad Jason did? Like switch these two and take their place ? also, since their drug is running out? And then maybe Jason will continue to develop the drug now that he knows so much about it and re-enter the box?

Jason-teacher will end up in wold, where Maximilian, his first sun, is alive! And he will start act, like Jason-scientist acted towards him! Cause He want that World, where all his Family. But in last moment will stop and return to cube. Also, Amanda will encourage him to find his own world, she just afraid of being lonely. She is very dangerous person!

Yes Amanda is from a world where all their versions are evil and selfish. As a psychologist she has learned better how to hide it. Ultimately, I think she is grooming our Jason into being her soulmate.

I think Ryan could definitely get back into the box - and at least while the drug was still in his system and affecting him, he would have seen the infinite corridor and all the doors. The problem here of course is, where would he go and how would he know how to navigate his way in there and either get back to his world or not get into a messed up world. I don't know how much of this he knew, but he clearly knew enough about the basic principle of superposition to understand what was going on, and presumably the risk he would be taking if he did that and ended up in another world (assuming he went through back in the box and picked another door at random) that turned out to be a mssed up world, and the ampoule drug had worn out of his system and he was thus stuck there. Worst case scenario for him in staying where he was, if Jason was telling the truth about it being more technologically advanced, he might either find that world's version of himself or otherwise get the resources he needed to try and re-make the drug and then perhaps try to find his way back and through the box with more ampoules just in case. It's for this reason that I don't believe we've seen the last of Ryan in the show, anymore than anyone should believe that Evil Jason's whole "Concreteing" the box is actually going to stick in keeping original Jason away from his world.

This series is all about how your thoughts make you. If you dont think you can be successful, you won’t be able to be because you’re limiting yourself. The doors to me are symbols of what you can accomplish if you believe in yourself or what you can happen if you don’t. It really comes down to believing what is possible and making it happen. They use this theory in India to control elephants. They start off with really strong braces on the elephants and eventually they are very thin and the elephant could easily get away if it wanted to. If I believed it could. But the elephants mind keeps it there, trapped because it believes that it can’t leave and that the small cords that, hold it or not hot or not possible to break

It wasn't him, my dude. Go watch it again. He had dreads; The Leighton we know didn't have dreads. He also was a smaller build and completely different facial bone structure. A lot of people have brought it up and been just as confused and it makes me think the director or casting director did that on purpose as a troll.

I believe it was mentioned in the early episodes or maybe the one they escaped Jason2’s world that when the door closes it is shut for 5 minutes so no one else can enter. This is why Ryan couldn’t open the door when Jason shut it on him.

Dude am I the only one that noticed that Leighton was dancing in the club in the background. The Leighton that just left with the case of vials. He was wearing the shiny suit and was dancing. I thought that they would interact, but the scene was completely glossed over. Rewatch the scene. 19:35 into the episode.

But that's the thing. I think that's the Leighton that just left with the vials. The Leighton that paid creator Jason the money and left. He was wearing the same outfit. And, both our Jason and our Amanda know who Leighton is.

@@gunjee8984 I saw him too but the dancing Leighton had a striped shiny outfit (19:01. Not the shiney, solid creme safari outfit he left in. (Neither of which vibe with me) It could be that the director put in few Leighton's dancing in the background. Just as an inside joke. Still I do want them all to meet like Steve suggests and put their heads together. Cuz Creater Jason is too out of control. And must be stopped.

It wasn't him. Many people have kept mentioning that in this and other reviews but it wasn't him, but rather just another black guy wearing a white blazer who just happened to look like him, but ultimately wasn't him. Go watch it again. He has dreads and a bald patch and arguably has a smaller build. The Leighton we saw has no bald patch and doesn't have his hair notted (in dreads), and notting your hair as a black person is not something that you can just do overnight. Ask me how I know both this and the fact that you're not black yourself. Not all black people look alike.
