This isn't true, speaking even as a mother myself. There was another episode where a mom accused her 17 year old daughter of stealing a few thousand dollars from her as well. Swore it couldn't have been anyone else. Her daughter was her best friend and she still said it was her. Turned out her daughter didn't do it. Intuition of a mother can definitely be wrong, just like the intuition of any other human being.
