First thing Steve knows the results no matter what anyone thinks. He lets woman who do this sit when he knows they are innocent, but let's people who he knows are guilty stand. Come on now. She seems like she's on the spectrum honestly they have a hard time forming emotional attachments easily overwhelmed especially with children they seem emotionless but they do feel tempest have a hard time communicating them it's usually taught by them being shown that by her being in foster care she didn't get to form an emotional bond to be able to articulate it for herself 😢

Yeah. Saying she needs cooling off time from her kid. I'm a single mom of a 2 year old girl. Completely single. The ex who I was pregnant by has never been involved. I work full time so I have to send my girl to a sitter. Someone I trust a lot. When I'm not at work, my daughter is with me. Period. Any place I have to go she comes with me. My parents in Jersey have asked me to send her down without me because I can't get time off of work and the answer is no. There are times my sister babysits where I am working until 12am and then have to be up by 9am the next day for a staff meeting and my sister says oh just let her sleep over instead of driving back and forth. The answer is again no. It's not that I don't trust them, it's that I want my daughter with me all the time. I want to spend time with her. I enjoy being with her

Only when she was able to verbalize did I allow her to stay with my parents for a day. Not until she was 4 did I allow my sister to watch her for the weekend. Literally the only 3 people who was is and has ever been allow to watch my now 7 year old.

Even though she hurt her son which is terribly sad, she needs help herself, being raised in the foster system is not easy, I was a foster parent and many of these children have no attachment to anyone. Especially if they were moved from home to home. I hope she gets the help she needs for herself and her children. I do not think it is a bad thing for a parent like this to take a break, its safer for the child and shes being honest when she says she needed a break. I think its great that steve is going to help her become a better mum.

I was thinking the same thing. She is almost robotic. It is like she does not know how to love/care. She needs help herself. I am honestly glad that she took breaks it could have really turned out bad if not. I am not excusing her actions at all. It is horrible but it is not too late to break the cycle with help but she needs to want it. And to be honest I think her other child may be in a better place somewhere else until she does get that help. 😪

Women are absolutely disgusting. Only they can come to the defense of another woman who did something horrible because they feel something sentimental about her past is relevant. I've never heard one person watching episode of the show where a man did something and then say well it's understandable that he did that because blah blah blah blah. Disgusting, atrocious lack of accountability. This woman needs to be in a jail cell minimum and not on this Earth if there was any justice. No one gives a s*** about you being raised in the foster care system. Tons and tons of people have difficult upbrings and they don't get a pass for abusing children to the extreme.

Parents, never feel ashamed to take a break. If you have a trusted family or friend who does not mind watching your baby for a couple of days, there is no shame and utilizing that help. In this case, she did ask for someone to give her a break, but unfortunately, she asked too late after the abuse to the child. If you feel like you are going to hurt your child, please reach out to someone you trust who can help you with the child while you get help. Postpartum depression could also be a factor here if it was untreated. Remember, it takes a village to raise a child. That support system is needed.

@@shyshy567 "it takes a village" does not mean you pass your children around, in my opinion.. but yes children will learn from and be affected by everything around them. It's also good for the child to have other caretakers besides mom, but moms should not think it's okay to pawn their children off on other people. Interpret it how you choose, I jus know there's way too many people becoming moms and don't realize it's 24/7/365 and it's nobody's responsibility but your own.

Letting your family watch your child every once in a while isn't weird or a bad thing. Especially if the parent is hurting the child from "stress" Steve acts like he's never let his parents keep his children for a couple of days. Her harming her child is what is bad. And lying on her family member who was being good to her and her baby, is what is bad. If you trust someone to have your child, it's not a sin to allow them to watch your child for a couple of days. As long as you call and check up on them.

This narrative that mothers are never allowed a day off, never allowed a break, never allowed to be their own person as well as a fit parent, is exactly the reason maternal suicide rates and postpartum depression have skyrocketed. There is no sound psychiatric evidence that supports this narrative. Mother's DO take breaks. There is no correlation between a mother needing to reset mentally and physically for a day or two and a lack of love for the child. Not all love that children receive in their early years will be from their mothers. It is ABSOLUTELY normal for children to spend a weekend at their grandma and grandpa's houses. Some of the best stories and fondest memories that people share about their grandparents occurred while at their houses. Virtue signaling within the motherhood side of social media is sickening. Believe it or not, with competent significant others and involved family members, you can absolutely raise a child in a loving environment AND take a break here and there.

I think that she is a young mother that needs help , I feel bad for her but if she needed to “cool down” why couldn’t she give the baby to her man like what was he doing the whole time ?? And sometimes raising a child.. the mom has the child more than the father does unfortunately 💯 maybe she wasnt getting help from him and postpartum set in and being overwhelmed drove her to abuse her baby. 😭

I feel sorry for both of those children. Even if her other child isn’t being abused physically, he/she are still suffering in their own way. Don’t get me wrong, I understand it’s difficult, stressful/overwhelming and parents needing breaks. But what this child endured, the way he was constantly pawned off on someone else is so sad and f’d up. Based on his tape & the way he walked out, I expected more from Manual.. but he was too calm for me, and his reaction to her results was not what I expected. He should’ve done more to protect his son and be his voice. Sadly that’s now up to/the job of the system. He should’ve been stronger both prior to the show and on stage. He didn’t have enough emotion in defense of his son in my opinion. The fact that they both waited to take him to the hospital.. he should’ve been strong/man enough to stand up to her and take him even if she wouldn’t. I will never understand how parents can look at their child(ren), watch them suffer and just be so blah, “oh well” about such a serious situation. Not even to simply just use their brain and say “I should.. what if.” So neglectful. Sadly this IS a vicious. The patterns and many forms of abuse have sadly been passed on to the next generation of innocent children.
