Go back into your childhood and find what made you happy through the tough times. And liking yourself just means your comfortable with what society has made you out to be. Everyone becomes a product of their environment. Not just on a physical level but on a spiritual level. Try and think back on what type of environment you were in. How were you treated? We're you taught how to properly love yourself? In my opinion obviously not because if you were or if you seen an example of self love then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Don't indentify with what society has made you. Walk away from the 97%. You must go back to being a baby, if you understand what I mean. Looking in the mirror and liking what you see isn't self love. What you see in the mirror isn't really you in the first place. It's what society has made "you" to be due to the circumstances that were placed on you. You seem to have lost yourself along the way if that comment you made about the childhood is true. Go back and find yourself. Pay attention to your surroundings. Who do you hang around? Are they pushing you to be a better version of yourself? Are they teaching you of knowledge of self?

leon miller I love my spiritual self...it’s the flawed, earthly self I struggle with lol. Habits I can’t break and being awkward with people...I’ve just never felt like I belong here, you know? I can’t really duplicate what made me happy as a child either simply because even if I did the exact same things, they wouldn’t look or feel the same anymore...but I’ll think about that. Many of the people I surround myself with are challenging (because that’s what I know. Also, that list is mostly family so not consciously chosen...that I remember :} )but they all teach me a lot. The initiative to be and do better has always came from within so I don’t need anyone for that. As for losing myself...I’ve been doing that my entire life...sort of the problem lol. I’ll take 3 steps forward and 2.5 steps back. I try and have found a level of peace but self love has always eluded me...just never good enough for myself or anyone else (in my opinion).
