This song saved my life once. I was at a red light late one night. This song came on the radio. I was like "this is my jam!" I cranked it up & rocked out. I didn't noticed the light had turned green. I was just about to tap the gas when a car blew through the red. If Higher Love hadn't been playing I'd have accelerated when the light turned green & been hit right on the drivers side of me car. I swear that car was doing at least 60KM. Thanks Steve.

When this dropped in 85 -86 , I was being abused and bullied on a day to day basis by kids and adults alike , Steve's songs played thru my cassette deck Walkman, and temporarily removed me from the trauma and abuse I was experiencing on a daily basis. I've been fighting leukemia for a few months now, and everything is going well for me for the most part...i did have some scary times my first round of chemo....5 different types of chemo at once for 15 days straight and 15 days to recover and than a consolidation treatment and im about to leave for my last treatment and stem cell transplant......this song has been one to help keep me strong ....especially on good days like today all my coworkers took me to lunch and i really needed it because the treatment time with recovery is around 4 months and ill be away from my wife and kids but everyone made me feel like i was this song for a brief moment......thanks steve and thanks to everyone thats had my back and been there for me especially today i was really not ready but they gave me the love i needed to keep pushing forward and looks like ill be completely cured come may/june .......this songs been on repeat ever since i got home. Love every one of you guys, and i can't wait to be cured and be able to start paying it forward

Story time: when I was 23, a few months after I broke up with my boyfriend, I started a new job. We were allowed to listen to the radio or play our iPods, provided it didn't interfere with our job performance. One evening, myself and some coworkers were staying late, and this song started playing from one of our mp3 players (don't remember who's). We cranked it and started jamming, and I was thinking to myself, "You know, I just got out of a crappy relationship, I really could use a higher love." From around the corner, this guy from another department comes walking over and starts rocking out with us. He was six foot nine, the tallest man I'd ever met in person, and a total sweetheart. Last year, we got married. I really did get a "higher" love.

WOW!! Got so much to say. I am from Delco, PA and am a graduate of a very large Catholic highschool which is closed now. I graduated at age 17 in 1986. My girlfriend and 2 other girls rode up in this girls beautiful red Iroc. Let me tell you.. very uncomfortable in back seat for long trips. Stereo for was kick-ass though. So, along with many other CD's playing was Higher love. We rocked out to that for 2hrs. The rest is all she wrote.
